Clayton sez Harrington will be a FIN!!!

Clayton just said on mike and mike that he doesnt expect Joey to leave miami when he comes for a visit and That he will be a FIN!! Trade would be for like a 6th or 7th round he said.

just saw it too... Also again said that RW attorney wrote NFL drug policy and believes can beat it... also helps that confidentiality was broken in case.. we need Ricky much more than Harrington....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! don't give up a pick for that clown

Im sorry but i dont see us getting anything better in the 6th or 7th round. I like Harrington

you have to think long term... Ricky will help team over long haul instead of Harrington...

actually....that confidentiality was broken and it's public that he failed a test (regardless of the reasons) the "league" is more pressured to actually "punish" him as league officials have said the drug policy is not only to keep the players clean but, more importantly, to reassure the public that the players stay clean which is why, once something usually goes public, they have to dole out some sort of punishment (regardless of why he failed...he still shouldn't have failed and even if he is actually clean there's so many reasons why not to believe whatever the excuse may be).

At this point...I think the odds are against him. Then again...even a 2 in 5 shot of him making it out of this ok is still a decent chance.

according to Clayton it is a big factor in him beating the rap.. I'm not saying i agree or disagree .. just telling you what Clayton said...

fair enough man :) I wasn't "arguing" lol. Just repeating what I heard league officials saying on Total Access and/or being quoted in papers. I hope it helps in the

"feel sorry for my plee because this whole thing has been handled wrong"

rather then the following

"oh crap...now the world knows I failed a test, regardless why and now the league can't let me slip or else I become a precedent for future violators getting away with it....d@mn..guess I"m the scapegoat for the public today"

at qb perhaps but we are a team full of holes and usefull role players can be found late in the draft, with qb's like collins still on the market, giving a pick for harrington is simply not smart when we have already paid a 2nd for pep and a 6th for lemon IMO

Look on the bright side....we already traded away our 2nd pick so we can't pull a Wannsteadt mistake and give it away for him :)

Since we don't have a 6th round pick (cleo trade) it must be a 7th rounder. i could live with that.

I agree, I don't want to give up anything for him. If all we're looking for is a short term backup I don't see any reason we need to spend a draft pick on one.

Not to mention his rediculous contract, bonus or not - I'll be mad if we waste a pick on a player that might eventually be released anyways.

then the NFL will be sued. I dont think the end of the Paul Tagliabue era wants Ricky williams going to trail and winning because the law is on his side and any real judge would rule in Rickys favor. Think Rush Limbaugh and his medical records wanting to be public. Privacy is one of the biggest buggaboos in our nations laws. That was breached by the NFL. In case you havent heard, the NFL is like Halliburton to lawyers and judges. Its about the the law, and money. Who has it, and who doesnt. And who broke the law.

Its like the evidence will be thrown out on a technicality. That technicality would be the NFL saving face or face the consequences. Mega million dollor suit where Ricky would no longer need to play the game anymore....And then no body wins.

People need to think a little deeper.

Not to mention that Ricky would be basnned from football for an herb. totally legal herb. What a rediculous deal that would be. Therefore, going back to a lawsuit. Hello!!!! What do you want? Kill Ricky, get sued or let ricky play for $500000. Its a no brainer to me. But if the league wants to screw the dolphins on this, then its the NFL's loss. Ricky is an exciting player who scores TD's. First game of the year blemished with Ricky out for the year. Sounds great to me!
