clemens a yankee...

I am not buying it.....Roger doesn't want to leave the Houston area. I would tell Steinbrenner give me $25 million and maybe I will play for you. :lol:

It's true, he was at Yankee Stadium today in Big Stein's suite.

The Yankees definitely needed another starting pitcher and although Clemens is one of the best pitchers in the history of the game it should be interesting to see how he does being back in the AL. I do wonder how much they're paying him and if he'd be allowed to go home in between starts (considering the Yankees repeatedly said they would refuse him to leave the team etc) and if that would have an affect in the clubhouse with certains guys on the team.

Welcome back to the AL Roger, can't wait for yet another Fenway return.

Although Clemens is probably going to be much tougher than Chase Wright, Jeff Karstens, Rasnar, Igawa, Pavano or the others they have been throwing out there.
 
The Yanks play the Rockies here at Coors Field in September...I might go if Roger is scheduled to start when they come here. :)
 
This is a great move for the Yankees. I mean Roger isn't coming back to embarrass himself, so you know the Yankees are going to get a heck of a pitcher. I can't wait for Hughes to return so he can be tutored by Roger Clemens. Great day to be a Yankees fan!
 
Im excited -- love rocket -- i think even if he can win 10 - 12 games thats more than igawa was gonna get and about 10 more than pavano was going to pitch in .... soo its a good move for us...

I would trade pavano for roger everyday of the week and twice on sundays....
 
Im happy! i know he wont do amazing but im glad Clemens is back as a yankee and end his career their! i was graduating 8th grade when he first was goona retire, now im about to graduate high school
 
I heard this while watching the Marlin game.

They mentioned how it is kind of wrong for him to basically use Houston and their facilities just to get in shape and then go sign with another team. I don't know how anyone else feels about that really as it hasn't been mentioned here.

well houston knew about this...everyone knew that their was a great chance he could be a yankee. Also it also benefited Houston because Clemens helped some of the younger guys too.
