Cleo came in today? how did he look?

He looked average at best, just like ALL THE DAMN QUARTERBACKS WE HAVE HAD BEHIND CENTER SINCE DAN MARINO.

Time to draft a real franchise QB.

You can't totally judge him going in that late in the game. Give him a whole game from the get go, and see what he can do.

I think its time to let him start - give him the last few games to see what he can do. At least we will know by the end of the season what the teams needs are, as far as the QB position. Joey is a backup at best. DC - well the jury is still out on that one. I would hate to be in a position next year, were DC does not recover and we don't draft a QB or get a good QB by trade or FA. Then its back to square one. Another lost season!

It was only for a short time, but he played ok, he had some really nice throws. With two weeks left what do we have to lose if we start him? Joe is definitely not going to be QB 1 next season.

Sharp, a little confused, but sharp.

I think that's a fair assessment. Part of the confusion part may be due to the fact that he hasn't made an opportunity to practice with the first team. I would hope Saban gives him this opportunity this week and makes a decision based on it.

thats a horrible assessment...yes he looked inexperienced but some of the throws he made showed potential...they were bringing the rush on him too...he may never amount to anything but he definitely earned the last 2 starts of this yr imo

Hard to say. He completed passes and moved the ball down the field, but Buffalo was clearly in a non-aggressive prevent mode at that point. In fact, I had muttered to myself that he would probably pick up some first downs and that when I got back home the message board would be full of Cleo love threads.

God couldn't I have been wrong :(

looked better than joey did.

Not particularly hard when the defense is paying more attention to where they're going for drinks and steaks after the game.

I mean, notice that Cleo's sharpest play came when there were less than 5 minutes left?

The biggest difference between Harrington and Lemon is that the receivers caught Lemon's passes. You can get on Harrington for not going deep, but for the love of all that is holy, your receivers dropped...what?...seven, eight passes today?

well, maybe Cleo didn't exactly earn it by blowing everyone's skirt up, but Joey sure as heck lost his right to be the uncontested starter next week. this will be a hot topic all week long, to be sure

AMEN, though id rather spend a first rounder on Brohm or Smith if they are available-if not look at Palko/Stanton/Kolb in the 3 area.
