The agents of Miami's two remaining restricted free agents -- quarterback Cleo Lemon and safety Yeremiah Bell -- both said it is highly unlike either will be presented with an offer sheet from another team before today's 4 p.m. deadline.
However, agent Drew Rosenhaus said Bell also wouldn't be in any rush to sign his second-round tender worth $1.3 million next season. Instead, talks could begin about a longer-term deal than the one-year duration of the current tender.
Lemon's agent, John Rickert, said his client was more likely to sign the same second-round tender, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent after next season.
Rickert said he has been in negotiations with the Dolphins about a potential extension, but a more lucrative deal could become available after this season.
