Alright, random thought. I know that this whole CBA thing just piled up all of a sudden and it's buggin the heck outta all of us. But I'm sure it's nothing new to anyone in the league. The Giants GM even said that all the teams should've been preparing for the worst possible situation. So what if Saban/Mueller foresaw this? Or at least prepared for it in the form of Cleo Lemon? Could it possibly be that Lemon is our answer at QB next year? We don't know much about this guy. Definitely much less than what Saban and the FO know about him. Could this whole deal pave the way for him? I'm not saying we'd be better off with him than with Brees, but maybe the organization knew from the start we wouldn't be able to afford Brees and have been grooming Lemon? Any ideas?
 
with Saban you just never know. Man is sly like a fox.
 
Lemon...undrafted... cut by several teams in the nfl.. including being cut in nfl europe... didnt play last year..... will be a star for the phins in 2006..

I know he's unproven and all those things. But ultimately he's a cheap QB with plenty of raw talent. We don't know how far he is now...and for goodness sakes...we have Mularkey now...the man made Kordell Stewart and Tommy Maddox look like gods. Not to mention that Holcomb and Losman burned us last year. I'm sure he can work with Lemon.

Losman was a first rd pick, Stewart 2nd round pick...

Lemon was not drafted.. cut by several teams.. nfl europe also.. im sure he could work with lemon.. but he sucks..

Cleo Lemon was "recalled" by the Ravens from NFL Europe to man their practice squad, which is FAR different than being "cut" in NFL Europe.

He was released by the Ravens, which other team released him?

I'm not sure you have your facts straight...are you thinking of Rohan Davey?

it would be lovely if lemon could turn into a star...but i really wouldnt count on it.

I googled him and everything I found I can't play.

I just want to try and learn more about him.
