I was very very surprised to see Cleo Lemon NOT be released today with the other 9. I mean is there any reason they wouldnt cut him, is it possible that maybe they saw something they liked out of him from the gametapes this year after evaluating the roster. Just wondering...

well, if they need someone to clean the **** out of the toilets I could see them retaining his services for at least another year till they get an upgrade over toilet cleaner

Maybe because he's the only QB on the roster who won a game last year? Cleo Lemon is certainly no starter, but he has the skills to be a dependable backup in this league. It's really shocking to me to see all the praise John Beck gets on this board when Cleo Lemon played much better than Beck in everyone of his starts and he's considered a laughing stock.

Where is the "He had no talent around him, no line, no receiver" excuses when evaluating Lemon's play?

Maybe because the QB's trainer is currently teaching him How to jump OVER the pylon on 4th and goal? j/k;)

i totally dislike cleo as a qb but u are correct about rhe double standard. that cleo even started over beck speaks volumes to maybe beck was not as ready for the nfl as some people thought

Youre definately right about the excuse making and the fact that Cleo Lemon outplayed Beck by a longshot, but Cleo Lemon is garbage dude. No he is not a dependable backup. He is a gloryfied clip board holder at best. Beck although he was complete garbage last year, was a rookie, so he is definately worth keeping around.
