Do we get to see Cleo Lemon the last two weeks or do we continue to let Sage and Gus battle it out for next years starting or back up? I'm hopeing we get to see Cleo.:dolphins:

I don't think Sage will be with the Fins next year. I am sure they will bring another quarterback in and keep Frerotte and Lemon here.

I thought so too until Sage repeated his success in yesterday's game. Pretty hard to can a guy that has brought you back to win 2 late season division games. Cleo better impress these coaches quickly or the roster may be too crowded to include him, as I am certain we will end up with a drafted or FA qb before next season starts.

If we get rid of Lemon then we basically gave away another free draft pick, just like the AJ deal, just not as high.

You won't see Cleo!

Cleo is signed through next year...there is no rush to "evaluate" him. BUT i would like to see him get some snaps...even if it is just mopping up...

.......unitl preseason 2006.

why would anyone want to see the 3rd string QB right now when we are riding a 4 game winning streak (second longest streak in the league) and have a good chance to finish above .500 riding a 6-game winning streak. I'd rather have that momentum to carry us into next year and just see Lemon in the preseason.

I agree..They won't give up a pick for the guy and just let him walk without ever taking a snap
The only chance of sage staying is if he plays lights out these last two games if gus' out

I honestly think Sage will be here next year.
He is a VERY good backup from what it seems under Linehan's system. Let Sage and Cleo battle it out in 2006 Training Camp & Preseason.

thing is will Sage come back? Gus and Lemon are both signed through next year, and we will more than likely draft a QB this year.

So?
It's not like the Lemon's salary is a substantial one -- Sage is proven in the actual game, we've seen nothing real out of Lemon.

I'm not saying give up on Lemon yet, i'm just saying Sage is better than Lemon in these backup situations, in the CURRENT situation. :dolphins:

Cleo won't play. Obviously this team still feels it has something to play for. Why would Saban ruin that by contradicting himself and putting in a 3rd string QB and not trying to get better?

I kind of agree, BUT, imagine....last game of the season, dolphins already out of playoffs, patriots playing the backups, we're with a sucessfull 8-7 record after a crappy 4-12 season.......would saban contradict himself starting Lemon?
It would be a completely normal process of evaluation IMHO
