This guy really impressed me after watchin the game on NFL Network. (3 catches 47 yards). Besides that he looked pretyy big and broke a few tackles. And these wernt in garbage time fourth quarter either, they were in the second and early third. Sure he dropped a pass but he more than made up for it with that hit he got layed out on and still hung on to the ball tight. I potentially see him as a 3rd or 4th reciever if he keeps this up. Ur thoughts......

yea i use him in madden as the third receiver, but vick and wes are battlin for that spot

Vick? Battling for 3rd receiver? That job already pretty much belongs to Hagan if I'm not mistaken

well i doubt it,i read a couple post and people have been sayin that he really wasnt on point.but i didnt see the game so i cant say too much till the next game

so where does that leave cliff russel, and wes welker and vick at?if hagan is gonna start at 3rd.im not sold on hagan just yet

nah campbell will get that job you guys will see:shakeno:

I think the #3 WR spot is wide open. However, I think the leading candidates are Derrick Hagan and Wes Welker. Hagan has all the tools, but Welker has more experience and knows a little bit more about the offense. I think Kelly Campbell will see alot of time in the slot with his speed, but I don't see him taking that spot from the beginning of the season. Marcus Vick and Cliff Russell will be valuable additions to our special teams unit this year. Vick has the potential to develop into a Kordell Stewart/Antoine Randel-El-esque type player.

They invested a 3rd round pick in Hagan after an incredible college career. Hagan will be a factor this season, likely as the 3rd WR. One huge advantage he has over Welker and Campbell is his size. At 6'1, 202 lbs, he's a much more physical player, and he's a bigger target. The team will carry at least 5 WR on the 53-man roster, and maybe 6. So, there's still room for a Vick, Gibson, or Aromashodu to make the team, especially if one of them shows the ability to be an explosive kickoff returner. Cliff Russell has been in the league for 5 years now. The fact that he looked good playing against backup defenders is not that impressive.

Well its not a very hard prediction to make but i will bet anything you will see all of the above receivers playing this year, there will be no true 3rd receiver, i see hagan/campbell mostly, but russell and maybe even vick will see time for sure, unless hagan or campbell or who ever absolutely run away with it, i guarantee it will probably be a situational call on who gets played at 3rd reciever.

The way I see it is like this. Chambers will move to the slot alot and whomever is #3 will have to play wideout so the ones that can stretch the feild has the inside track. Although it would appear that all are capable of that and it's still to tough to choose.

I honestly don't see Vick on the 53 man roster. I think he will be on the practice squad. There is no way he will be out Campbell and Wes. Don't forget about Fred Gibson.

No way Vick makes the roster and you mention Gibson? Call me crazy but that is just rediculous IMO.
