I was just wondering if anyone had a clip of ronnies 50 sum yard run against the panthers cuz i couldnt find it.
 
Boy you can really see where the hammy slows him down. It's right at the 25-yard line where he would normally show a huge burst and take off down the field, looking like he did at the combine. You can tell that it totally slows him down.

Not sure -- the guys who were in pursuit had a head start because they weren't being slowed down by breaking tackles 20 yards prior like he was, but I do think he would've gained at least another 25-30 yards without it.
 
I wonder if when he felt the hammy tighten up, did he take the angle to the sideline to avoid being taken down from behind and possibly being stripped of the ball, trying to get a few more yards, or just worried about injuring himself further and just ran for the sideline?
 
what i like most about that play is chambers busting his *** to get down field and make a block and not a cheap push in the back! thats the stuff that makes good teams great
 
I don't know......maybe I just don't have as good an eye as some of you but I find it hard to tell when his hammie tightens up on him. One thing I did see though was a nice block by a WR (don't know who) on a LB (Dan Morgan?) near the end of the run.

It's not that you can tell when it tightens up, it's that you can tell that he's not able to kick it into overdrive when you'd normally expect him to. That guy is a LOT faster than that -- I saw the video of the combine.
 
I wish he would have tucked and hit that last guy instead of going out of bounds. I know its easy for me to say, while i am sitting here watching it on the computer, eating a huge bowl of chips, but he should just plowed that guy over.

if you take a look he also chipped a linebacker before he blocked the other guy...good work chambers! now thats hustle:rofl3:

Boy Chambers shows sick speed circling a lineman and still gaining distance. If Ronnie would have cut it inside, that hit by Chambers would have made it 28-17 and sealed the deal. Instead, we had to sweat it out after a FG.
