We're toast. So what will we do? We will not play players we feel we have already evaluated who are injured or recovering. Daunte will play to get reps if needed, but probably not, we're going to finish out the season with Joey and depending on how he plays, there may be a real quarterback controversy next season, or Joey could be our next Gus and wind up someplace like the Rams. Expect to see younger players who need reps and are on the chopping block get some playing time. Expect some outright releases of "stars" after game 16. Expect trades for draft choices whenever we can manage to get them. Expect a few more losing seasons. Expect a lot of finger pointing because Saban has now moved in to the official "save my job" mode.

Dump CPep, Draft an O-Line and MLB this year, try to pick up a young QB not already tainted by some other team and give him a year to adjust to the system, perhaps some late season starts if we arent even close to being in it. Fire Mularkey.

I don't believe Saban's job is on the line, you could see a QB contriversy next year but this year its all Joey. To be honest with all of you Joey has not done a bad job, yeah he's thrown some pics, but looking back two have been his fault the others are questionable. Mularkey's job is definately on the line, this guy does not open up the offense until we're in a hole. The line after Joey coming in has done a decent job, we need another CB, I don't think Wil Allen is the answer, and we can use a good safety. You may see Saban get a draft pick for Ricky Williams, I believe they're tired of being a Ricky project.

What I don't understand is if we picked up Lee Suggs why aren't we using him, as well as our FB Barnes he is no where to be found. All of this years mess falls on Mularky and Saban. Saban will adjust and make things better, Mularkey is toast!:fire:

So, encourage me.

For Saban's job to not be on the line, you have to believe that we have patient ownership or that he has a core of players around which he can quickly build a winning program. You of course cannot answer for the first possibility, so who do you think are our core of "winning players" for next year?

He's always thrown a lot of pics, he needs to show he's cured that.

I consider him the "first scapegoat". Frankly I'd like to see Jay Fiedler on our coaching staff.

You'd be lucky to get a 6th or 7th rounder for Ricky.

It's not, but he is obviously the worst of three choices, at least in terms of immediate prospects. Brees would have been better this year, starting Joey the whole way would have been better, and frankly maybe even starting Cleo Lemon would have been better.
