You think because a pro football player plays for a team, he's a big fan of that team?

Should he be? Yes.

Are they? No.

Tribalism decreases as compensation increases.

Maybe we could trade him to the Saints?

It's all fashion. I'm a lifelong Fins fan but I have had Saints, Falcons, Jags, Raiders, Rams, Cowboys, Vikings, Panthers, Packers and Steelers apparel, in addition to all of my Dolphins apparel. The aqua and coral just doesn't go with everything. On gamedays its another story, all Dolphins gear.

I don't think that makes him or me a traitor, even though that is the vibe I'm getting in here :lol:

Hell I like the Jets green but I refuse to wear anything Jets, Bills, Colts or Pats . . . if that helps.
 
A lot of these guys have been die hard fans of other teams their whole lives. Playing for another team won't change that.

I was just skimming and at first I read Jags as Jets. I was almost shocked and appalled lol
 
who cares. most nfl players arent on the teams they grew up watching.
as a fan i cant wear any other jersey but my fins, and if i was getting paid 6-7 figures for a team who drafted me i would still rock the phins jersey. i dont mind clyde doing this
 
It doesn't mean dudes is a Saint fan b/c he wearing a NFL Saint Cap....

I lot of guy who wear urban gear like to match Hats with there outfit...

really who cares most people that play for phins or any team play because thats where the money is at or they or obligated to play for them , they are basically employees

Seriously? Who gives a crap? Like another poster said, if I were to be drafted by the Seahawks (yes, I'm entering my name into this years draft) I would still wear Dolphins gear, because I've been a Dolphins fan all 21 years of my life
 
If I was a receiver I would be a saints fan too.
 
Hope you arent implying i was elated by the gates selection. The regime trades ginn and than drafts a speedy guy in gates. Gates didnt sniff the field as a wr, and i have no idea why or how anybody would bd impressed with him as a returner. IMO, we need anothet speedster with size to return kicks, and see the field az a threat at wr.
