First lets talk about Gates

1) Showed his speed on an overthrown ball just barely out of reach but broke the defender by a good 3-4 yards
2) Showed the endzone awareness of a seasoned vet geting open by not using his speed but instead route running ability
3) Shows his smarts by coming back for the ball instead of continuing his route when qb as in trouble
4) Solid hands

Wilson

1) Lays the wood on his hit causing fumble
2) Has an eye for the ball saved a td pass
3) Fly's around the field and is always making plays and near ball

Livas

1) Hole S**T can this kid fly
2) He runs so fast he falls down lol
3) MAKES THE FIRST MAN MISS
4) Looks to be Devin Hester esq finally we have a PR

Where did this Livas kid come from?

He was a late addition to the roster from Louisiana Tech. The folks down there called him "Saturday Night Livas" due to his electrifying returns. I believe he set the school record for return TDs, and he's up near the top of the NCAA all-time list in return TDs as well.

wilson should start at safety next to bell, what position does livas play

Um, no mention of Henne's fantastic performance?

Hope to see the game tomorrow on NFL network. Sounds like the Livas kid may be a good returner hope so.

edmond gates is exactly what ted ginn was supposed to be...i watched him take 2 kickoff returns and decided this kid was tougher than ted ginn...he didn't beeline for the sideline he went into the middle of the field...in a year this kid looks to me like as a wr he'll be ready to take the #2 job...already

phil livas goes north and south and can make the first guy miss...the td return was nice but i saw 2 returns prior to that that said to me this kid should be the punt returner going forward...provided he shows he can secure the ball...this kids electric

jimmy wilson played cb and hit like a safety...not overly impressed with him at cb but his physicality was nice and he already plays with more force than sean smith...

actually was intrigued with the offense also...5 wr sets...whens the last time i saw that...it looked like this offense has some real promise...i'm concerned we don't have the qb to execute it and that we likely are gonna struggle protecting the qb in such a wide open look but i have to say i killed the daboll hire killed it and tonight at least i saw some promise...

I don't care. If he returns punts and makes plays, he's on the team. This team needs fast mother****ers who make plays, and lots of them. I really hope we have a couple guys like that in Gates and Livas.

2 points about Livas

1) is it me or does he looks like Percy Harvin the way he runs?
2) Everything about the kid looks great and i hope we keep him to be our Special Teams Ace...My only compliant is he seems to go down easily!
