I was driving to work this morning listening to 560's Joe Rose and he had a quick interview with Sparano...some of the interesting things that stuck out in my mind were:

- He confrimed that Ricky IS STARTING...He plans to work Ronnie in slowly...but when its all said n done, he said that both backs would get a similar number of carries throughout the year...

- Joe Rose asked him which 3 guys surprised him the most in Training Camp this offseason, without a doubt Sparano said "Donald Thomas, Davone Bess, and Patrick Cobbs..."

- When asked about Greg Camarillo's rise up the depth chart, Sparano stated that he was a smart player, and a player that always managed to create a nice, open target for his quarterback, as well as having sure hands...

Hope this helps with any questions anyone may have...IM PUMPED FOR SUNDAY! :woot:

That answer about the three guys that surprised him has sort of evolved over the last week. First they asked Ireland and he said Donald Thomas. Then they asked Sparano and he said that he heard Ireland talk about Donald Thomas and he agrees, but if there was a guy that spoke to him and surprised him most it was Davone Bess. Then recently in a question about 3rd down backs he was talking about Patrick Cobbs and he said you know we talked about guys that surprised us but I think Patrick Cobbs is up there with Davone Bess. So, those are the three stock answers now, whenever someone asks him that question.

Rose is on 560 WQAM.

I think this organization has plugged in the guys that give them the best chance to win. It has truly been open competation out there. If it had not been true open competation we would not be seeing guys like Ricky, Camarillo, Thomas and Crocker out there sunday. I
