I think that we need to retain Campbell. For the longest of time I have been telling people that if only the Dolphins can get a coach who loves the team with the same passion as myself I would be happy. I feel as if Campbell knows exactly what this team needs and that he would do anything in his power to right the ship. However, with that being said there are flaws with his coaching but that is to be expected being that this is his first full time gig. I think that we need to hire Campbell and go after the best OC and DC to help with the process. Yes, Payton is the more popular and established name however, will he have the same (I have something to prove attitude) when he comes in? your thoughts?

Definitely getting more out of Tannehill since the change. 7 TD's and 5 picks under Philbin and 14 TD's and 4 picks under Campbell. If we could just score some points.

Dan Campbell gives us zero as a head coach . He is a glorified motivational speaker who players love .

I like the guy too man ...

But where is his COACHING resume ? What does he bring as a coach ? Nothing

Why ? Because he looks tough ... And talks about playing tough all the time ?

If Dan Campbell looked like philbin , you guys wouldn't even think about him as tough . What exactly makes this team tougher now than it was at te beggining of the year ?

Does this guy give you an offensive advantage ? No
Defensive mind ? No
Good clock management ? No
Game planning / exploiting weaknesses ? No

He hasn't shown a god damn thing ... Except hit the gym , look tough and run his mouth .

I'm sorry guys , you're blinded by this guy for some reason .... The guy brings nothing as a head coach .

Bring in somebody who brings SOMETHING ,

Be it experience , great offensive minds like Sean Payton , great defensive minds like Rex Ryan ....they BRING something to the team ... What does Campbell bring ? No experience , a big mouth?

I think this guy can lead, is hungry, is not afraid to off coaches who are sucking, is learning - saying "**** this, go get me a yard" after Franks couldn't get the PAT in two plays I row was good coaching. Say what you will - our defense - inspite of all talent gaps is playing well. There is no "genius" coaching that can compensate for how bad our corners not named Grimes are. But our defense came up huge to preserve this win as it did against Philly. Someone tell Dan Campbell he has no shot at the HC job. I don't think he's gotten the memo. I want a coach who just won't stop in their quest to get better, to win, to coarse correct. I hear you guys on the inexperience front but he's certainly getting a crash course now.

I love Campbell and wish him all the success in these last 4 games, but I think Mike Tannenbaum will not let this opportunity pass to bring in his "guy".

Maybe if we finished 9-7 they'd consider keeping him. But I doubt that happens.

Bill , John Hardbaugh ... Those guys gameplan ... They put their team in a position to win ball games by exploiting what they feel are weaknesses in the other teams scheme , talent/ players , injury situation ... They do things that can be the difference between winning and losing , between going 10-6 or 8-8 .... THAT is what we lack .

Dan Campbell has still not shown that and he isn't that guy . He lets coordinators do whatever they want he basically said it himself .

I think Dan Campbell would be an AMAZING assistant head coach , but he is NOT our solution at HC guys .

We need to find someone who can give us that bit of an edge ... Somehow someway .

I hear and respect your opinion however, the last few years I have watched the Saints they have not been the best. Does that have anything to do with coaching? Im just saying, we have a guy in house who is familiar with our team already. If we let Campbell get away be prepared for a total overhaul.

the inexperience part of your argument is valid. He does not run his mouth and talk tough. He's humble. Rex Ryan runs his mouth. Rex is so great that his clubs can never win back to back games. He's a glorified motivator w gimmick master. At the end of the day Campbell coached teams beat Chip Kelly and John Harbaugh. I think the whole intellectual edge thing is overrated. It's more about having a great QB. You think Mike Tomlin is an intellectual genius?

I can see both sides of the argument and honestly, once I heard he was going to be the interim coach I knew he was gone... just like Bowles and Garrett. We are giving him experience for another organization.

I would love for them to keep him, but he doesn't have much experience at all in head coaching let alone coaching, itself. BUT he has a leadership quality that is very rare. He's a commander by nature. You can have all the football knowledge in the world, but if the players don't respond to you then you are done.

My gut says he's done here. Tannebum is notorious for making horrible personnel decisions.

I say let him stay HC. The players love playing for him. That's obviously important, because they didnt' want to play for Philbin. You want great offensive and defensive mind coaches? Hire them as OC and DC...

Just look at the state of the team at the time that he took over. I mean what can he have possibly done to have a real shot? Even if he would have went undefeated for the remainder of the season the players and system would have been the same. Allow the man to get individuals with similar beliefs and see what happens! I believe!

I really like DC ... He needs more seasoning, no doubt, but he is a bona fide leader and his game planning deficiencies can be minimized with the right OC and DC. I think however, it's a moot point. I think Tannenbaum brings in his guy. I would like to see DC rewarded with an assistant HC position so he can learn all the aspects of being an HC under someone with real experience.

I like Campbell. But punting on 4th and 5 from midfield down 10 to Dallas sealed his fate for me. Maybe it was a Lazor call? **** that guy.
