a little clip from the article

• Moving Matt Roth from defensive end to outside linebacker. His numbers are solid (43 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles), but they don't tell the full story. Roth, who leaves the game in nickel packages, said teams are running in his direction only about two to four times a game. ''It's respect,'' he said, acknowledging he is ''better'' at his new position.

Give Sparano credit, almost everything he and his crew has done has worked

Was the best move IMO by Sparano and the coaching staff this offseason. Yea Roth isn't ideal on passing downs because of the lack of speed to cover the quicker TE's and RB's in the flats . . . but he has been incredible in the run game.

Call me crazy, but don't rule out Roth shedding a few more pounds and getting quicker in the offseason. I still think he bulked up thinking he would have to compete as a 3-4 DE . . . next year he goes in knowing that he will be competing as a 3-4 OLB. Same with Merling, there is alot of competition on the front seven.

1 reason Roth has played well is the fact that he's a big LB now instead of a small DE...He's used to taking on big blockers and he's doing a nice job.

Ozzy rules!!
