Exactly -- I agree he is a top 3 - 5 coach in the league, or somewhere in this mix:Tomlin is a top 3-5 coach in the league. Of course I would want him. That being said we all know McDaniel is coming back

Don't forget Sean PaytonExactly -- I agree he is a top 3 - 5 coach in the league, or somewhere in this mix:

As a tribute to someone dearly departed (banned). Our franchise would be RONG if they didn’t make a move for Tomlin.Sitting here watching the Steelers with my son. He's telling me there's talks about Steelers brass not happy with Tomlin currently.
If the Steelers fire Tomlin, and we retain mcdummy over hiring him, how would that make you feel about this franchise?
For me, I'd totally find something else to do on Sundays next year.
I'm finding it rather ironic that five of these seven supposedly 'elite' NFL head coaches are coming off losses in their most recent games.Exactly -- I agree he is a top 3 - 5 coach in the league, or somewhere in this mix:

If the playoffs were to start next weekend, only four of these seven would be coaching in them.
Don't forget Sean Payton
I'll take LaFleur over a couple of those guys.Yeah I wanted to add him to the list. I agree. List is done now tho.
He hasn't won a playoff game since the 2017 season. He's done nothing without Big Ben.Wanny was terrible. He had good team and ran it into ground. Tomlin would make these guy play in Miami. Tomlin would be great fit for Miami.
Can think of loads straight off the top of my head I'd have before him. Reid, McVay, LaFleur, both Harbaugh's, Payton, Shannahan etc. Nowhere near top 3-5 for me.Tomlin is a top 3-5 coach in the league. Of course I would want him. That being said we all know McDaniel is coming back

I'm already not watching, but if McDaniel survives to coach this team next season, which he is totally on track to do, he has at least been given another chance. Note that I do not say he has earned it. Regardless of that, adversities such as this one, with the QB and the loss of the GM, can sometimes summon growth in a HC who has had to be accountable for his team's performance.Sitting here watching the Steelers with my son. He's telling me there's talks about Steelers brass not happy with Tomlin currently.

This team, and especially its fanbase, passes on everyone. It passed on Pete Carroll, Sean Payton, Vrabel, etc. Specifically, I'm referring to people on this forum who poo-pooed big time at the idea of Carroll when he was returning to the NFL. There were even people in this fanbase clamoring for Jack McDaniels over anyone with any sort of track record.Didn't we pass on Tomlin before because he was too "hip hop?"
This team![]()
