Just curious about Wanny's style of coaching, alot of coaches have a printed game plan or list of plays with them through the game....Holmgren.....Gruden....Sherman....Edwards.
Is it that Wanny leaves ALL the decisions to Norv. Do the other coaches....are they the offensive cordinators that call the plays.
I don't understand Wanny looks lost to me at time on the sidelines..not really a smash them in the mouth kind of coach...almost a pushover.
Please don't get me wrong I will be a FINFAN for the rest of my life no matter what. I would just like some leadership like a Parcells.. on who doesn't take **** from anybody...yet you know exactly what he expects from you.

There thats off my chest!

I'm sure he has input but NORV is responsible for play calling. I'm surprised he's not more involved with defensive calls since that's his background. Wannestadt appears to be more of a mediator than a dictator. He has a soft apporachable style. However, if you cross him, you will be dealt with. Just ask Gardener. Even with a mild demeanor, Wanny maintains control. I question some of his decisions but by and large I feel he's a good coach and can lead us to the big one.

But i dunno if its just me and my friends and bro who feel this way but if Wannstedt likes someone he wont replace them.Like when we had Fiedler and Huard were battling for 1st string QB after Marino retired, Wannstedt was said to like Fiedler as a person and they were seen together going places and Wannstedt wasnt seen in public with Huard ever, and SURPRISINGLY he became the starter when no1 had even heard of him besides a backup for JAX and all of us were liking Huard for his play while Marino was out with injury(but now every1 says what a genious he is for doing that move)...like last year my bro and my bestfriends younger bro (BIG DOLPHAN) was saying Fiedler stinks after the raven game(and raiders playoff game 2 yrs back) while i kept faith in him....and then when they resigned him eveyr1 one of my friends said what a waiste of $$$. Wannstedt kept him, also Wannstedts coaching is good but not the best becuz he does have his favorites, like Fiedler. I mean when the offseason mentioned Troy Aikman, WANNY turned red mad :fire: said absolutelt not. Wannstedt also beleives in the running game too much. He needs to go downfiedl some more. Do What The Giants coach is doing Faslett or Hasllet take control of ur DAMN team and do soemthing instead of being qquiet annd sayin well fix it in practice!

When Wannstedt was first hired as head coach I was very upset.
But I believe he has done a very good job overall, especially when times get tough. He has made some tough choices and most of them have turned out well. I think he has been better for the Fins than JJ was!

DW is by far one of the top coaches in the league. He stuck by Jay because he saw exactly what I saw, which is Jay Fiedler was the best guy for the job, and Jay is plain and simple a WINNER. Now, look at what's happening with the whole team since Jay's injury.

i kno, dave knows what hes doin. He sees the potential in players like McMichael this yr...and chambers too alotta players
