Of the top 3 runningbacks taken, the one performing the best is the only one who didn't miss at least half of his training camp.

Benson is doing pretty darn good when he comes in. Although I got to say that with that line, Thomas Jones is doing well.

It blows me away that alot of people are bad-mouthing R Brown, knowing how bad our O line has been for a couple of years now.Im not sure what they expected, but my God,the guy can't walk on water.half the time,he's having to avoid being tackled in the backfield.

good work SF. we still got 14 games to judge the man. then the hammer can fall without mercy, imo

Lets see what Ronnie does this season take into consideration how our offense is runned and how well our O-line plays then we will judge him.

Of course... when are people gunna understand that...

I think that a lot of people (including me) under-estimate the importance of training camp. I remember reading that Trent Dilfer regrets every day that he held out in his rookie year and it changed his career...maybe a little too extreme (nice excuse Trent ;) but still..

I hear you buddy and I'm right with you. I was never a big fan of these comparisons between players on different teams though. Who's to say that Cadillac would be the same player on the Dolphins? The point is that Ronnie is a Dolphin, not Cadillac, so there's no point in comparing the two.

why does it seem football is the only sport expecting to see immediate results from a rookie?

It has to do with the contracts these guys are getting. I'd say when it comes to expecting big things from rookies basketball and football have the 2 highest standards and coincidently those are the two sports where rookies get the most lucrative contracts.

You and most of us as well. Leave the guy alone, he'll be fine...Just wish a good OL would suddenly appear and play consistently......

BTW for the person that thinks the leading rookie running back he's speaking of. certainly did hold out and was not in TC from he start. He missed 2 to 3 weeks...also that particular team has a more seasoned OL than we do at present. That running back is also starting to show injuries (sore foot)
