Does anyone here listen to Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio in the mornings?

No?

Well, you should. This man is the gospel. Some people hate the guy, some people love him. I listen to his show religiously. It's one of the few things I make sure that I do every single day, or at least Monday - Friday. He's unbiased and he presents hard facts about topics being discussed on his show. He takes emotion out of his show and talks about the real issues.

Yesterday's show was one of his better ones and I've been listening for close to four years now. He spoke about how there is truth in everything and how most people do not like the truth because the truth will either tell you who you really are or the truth will tell you think you're not. He is who I call the 'King of Analogies' and I believe that when speaking about truth on yesterday's show, he couldn't have picked a better way to shape what the truth is than to use the Miami Dolphins and Bill Parcells as his examples.

If you can find time, and I know it is the holidays and we're all eager to spend some quality time with our families and such, but I believe everyone should listen to the first 20 minutes or so of his show from yesterday and hear him talk about the Miami Dolphins and conversely, the New York Jets.

You will enjoy it. I promise that. It's great radio. He's a smart guy and most importantly, he "gets it" on all levels. Below is a link to The Herd page on ESPN.com

Simply look on the right side of the page where it reads:

The Herd PodCast Archive
Tue. 12.23.2008 (4 Segments)

It's absolutely 100% free to listen. (ESPN Radio is now free thanks to Geico). Click on the Play link beside the Full Length Show and enjoy.

He is a freaking idiot. Awful. The worst radio guy ESPN has, and worse than anyone on Fox Sports Radio.

I'm not exaggerating.

You really are. Like he said, "Most people hate the truth."

Go listen. He was dead on with what he said.

Love his show. Big fan. Missed yesterday's though. I know he's a big Parcell's fan, so i'm not surprised he used him in his analogy. Cuing it up as we speak. Thanks for the thread. :hi5:

You can't call a guy out like that and not give a reason why you feel that way.

No, I understand. A lot of people hate the guy. I think he's the Howard Stern of sports radio. If you've ever seen "Private Parts" then you'll recall the part where the ratings guy says that most people who hate Howard Stern listen because they want to hear what he'll say next. Same thing with Cowherd. You should hear the hate mail he reads on the air lol.

It's defintely a love/hate thing with that feller. Same with Neil Rogers or anyone else with a brash outgoing personality. Some people just like plain salt and pepper while others have a cupboard of seasonings. My cupboard is full.

There's the time he stole content from a blog and tried to pass it off as his own, and was forced to apologize on air when he was caught:

And the time he convinced his listeners to make the blog The Big Lead crash for no good reason:

And the time he was stupid. Wait, that's every time:

Deadspin is agenda-driven. They have boatloads of articles on why they feel Colin Cowherd is the downfall of America. That's why I'm such a fan of Cowherd. He has no bias. He has no agenda. He just tells it how it is.

And I remember the show from about the MZone, etc. I think that was a mountain made out of an ant hill if you will. Colin was more than happy to give credit to MZone. It's rare that he ever spits anything out without citing a source. Even stats.

I think we can enter Rush Limbaugh into that conversation

Well at least you came armed with proof of your point and not empty claims. gg

The main reason that I don't like Cowherd is because he DOES exhibit bias. Anyone who has ever heard him talk about college football should be aware of this. "Mr. West Coast" is constantly on the Pac-10's nuts.

Now, while I realize that no-one is completely without bias, His overwhelming man-crush on the Pac-10 (esp. USC) drives me insane.
