College Free Agent Geoffrey Pope

Any idea how tall, weight? Don't have RP loaded on this old 'puter.

Welcome! Thanks. If anyone can use him its capers.

This is a guy that might have fit better in Jim Bates system. But who knows. Capers/Saban/3-4 puts more of a premium on tackling -but the guy is a 4.29 guy with good size - he is 6' 186lbs. As long as he isn't just terrible, I can't see him not making the team - if they can teach him to cover he can play Moss lol.

From what I'm hearing about Wilson, and Bruce, and possibly Esera We could have maybe 14 rookies on this team!! What an incredible haul that would be in Cams/Muellers first year! great job by our front office!

This is my first post. Sorry of this has been posted. Interesting video on a college free agent that we signed. I hope they're right.... He has an amazing 40 time. Could be a steal.

I think the steal will be WR David Sutton, also running under 4.3 or 4.4, who reportedly has great hands and catched a 50 pass yard pass from John Beck making an "unreal play", Im too high on him also...

Pope is garbage.. He has no fluidity in his hips to play the secondary.. He's not an aware guy at all.. Why do you think he went undrafted with that speed ?? .. Speed isn't everything in football.. Zach Thomas wasn't known for his fast 40 times but look at him go sideline to sideline making tackles... Thats cuz he's a BALL PLAYER.. Pope just isn't a ball player to play on a defense.. Where he can fit in though is as a flyer on kick coverage.. He can get down there fast.. What he does once he gets down there is another question entirely .

The 5th WR competition is tough, we've got Az-Zahir Hakim vs. Kelly Campbell vs. David Sutton

If Campbell stays healthy, and thats a big IF, nobody beats him out of a spot. He is just plain good at every aspect of being a receiver. His issues were never talent and skill. It was injuries and character issues.
