Collinsworth bashes Dolphins to Danny

If you care about something greatly like I'm sure Dan does about the Dolphins, you don't stand around and cheer while it gets run into the ground.... if in fact he were to believe that is the case.
Then perhaps he should get involved? NO, he threw that chance away. I'm starting to think that Dan loves $$ more than the former team he played for.

He should point out his thoughts, not laugh. Thats more or less a slap in the face.

What bothered me a lot was during the CBS Pregame show, they ripped on the Dolphins not only game wise, but said Dan got out of there when he should've, and Dan just laughed. That just seemed disrespectful when he doesn't defend the organization that he was with for all those years. Granted, I still love the guy, but, it hurts.
I know what your saying man. Beleive me, I didnt see it and it pains me just hearing about it. I think Dan was probably in an awkward position that he had no idea was coming like that. I know Dan loves this organization like everything. It had to kill him to retire, but he did, instead of go to tyhe Vikings and play and have a shot at a Super Bowl their, he wanted to always only be a DOLPHIN ! :D Dan probably wasnt expecting the comments the way they came out and we all know how that has happenned to all of us at one time or another, and instead of say the wrong thing, we just laugh it off like it didnt bother us and move on for fear of saying the wrong thing. Just think of it that way my friend, because Im sure Dan meant no disrespect to Wayne and the Dolphins organization he loves ! ;)

:shakeno:
That's just not fair to the guy.
He put in his time.
The job lays at the feet of the ones who are in charge now. If he feels those people are not doing a good job then there is no reason he needs to support them.

As far as your money comment.
I think the reason given as to why he stepped down was family......
What a louse huh? Family over trying to turn around a football team. Greed!

Everybody does different things when they are actually put on the spot, especially in front of millions on a broadcast where anything he says will be amplified while being replayed over and over and over again. Give the guy a break. The fact he said nothing pretty much shows me how he feels. In past years he has always stood up for the Phins on his HBO show. The fact that he dosen't now speeks volumes on how he feels about where the team is.

OK, I guess you are right.
The Phins do not have glaring question marks across their entire offense and up into their coaching staff. The media has zero justification for questioning this team and they are in fact biased Phin haters. Is that better?

Did I say that? Did I even talk about that? I am sick of everyone saying how good the 2001 Patriots looked, when they did not look good at all at the beginning of the season.

Guy, this whole thread is yet another in the unending threads on how the media "disrespects" the Phins by pointing out that they just haven't shown any reason to think they will be good. The debate is on that, You brought up the 2001 Patriots not anyone else.

I never said anything to worship the 2001 Patriots.
The point is whether this team, an 0-1 Dolphins team with question marks all over the field and into the coaching staff deserves any respect from football analysts at this point. NOT whether the 2001 Patriots were spectacular or not. I know you just brought them up as an example of a team that should'nt have gone as far as they did, and your probably right. One, the media counted them out as well at the time of their problems so they were treated the same as we are being treated now. There goes the Phin bashing argument unless your going to say the media is also Patriot haters. Secondly, While they did have problems, they did'nt have as many glaring question marks as this team does though so I don't see the correlation really at all.
