Colombo Is Supposed To Be The Target For Our O-line Coach

Jerry is overrated.
Pretty sure no one has Jerry rated high as a GM. So not sure where overrated comes from.

Even at his age however he is able to gather up a lot more talent thank Miami can.

Sad and pathetic.

What about Richie for oline coach?
Run over a 100 yards get a free lap dance
Blow a block and get bullied!

No doubt... but... the point stands.

If him and his son were in love with him... he’d be staying short of promotion
On the other side of the equation, what does Colombo think? Does he like Dallas? Would he like to return to S. Fla..

Why would he leave Dallas and that o line for this one?
Could be job security as Garrett maybe getting on the hot seat, and perhaps more money. Brother Brett says his contract is up and he knows Flores. If he can fix this offensive line that will be a big plus on the resume.

Well maybe he is a better coach than he was a player. He has a lot of talent in Dallas. Has he proven he can coach up and develop young players drafted outside the 1st and 2nd round?

Colombo was a very good Right Tackle for the Cowboys from 06-10.
When he came to Miami he was past his prime(surprise, surprise). Probably came over due to his relationship to Sparano(former O-line coach), Parcells(the guy who took a shot on him in 2005) and money.

He has been the assistant O-line coach for a few years behind Frank Pollack and Paul Alexander(who was a bad signing got fired week 8/9 of this year)
Once Colombo was named Offensive Line Coach he reverted the offensive linemens hand technique back to the way they were taught under Pollack and Callaghan and the line improved.

Dallas has only drafted 1 offensive lineman outside of the 1st/2nd since Colombo has been here and it was the constantly injured Chaz Green(Dallas Thomas suckage). However, they brought in former disappointment Xavier Sua'Filo from the Titans(former Texans guard) and they got solid play out of him. Was a plus in run blocking and average in pass blocking.
They also had a career backup in Joe Looney start all 16 games at center and while he was no Frederick, he certainly surprised every Dallas fan in how well he played.

Colombo himself was a very tough, old school lineman. Would be nice if that can rub off on the Dolphins line.

Hes obviously a decent coach to say the least. Would be a good hire

He did not play well for us but they rave about him and the job he's done in Dallas. Would love him here.

:ponder:When you have an offensive line with Tyron Smith,Zack Martin, and Travis Frederick it makes a coach look good.

Prior to the 2018 season, the Dallas Cowboys hired Colombo as an assistant offensive line coach. On October 29, 2018 the Cowboys released current Offensive Line coach Paul Alexander, and promoted Colombo to the vacant position.

So about 10 weeks or so as Offensive line head coach
and we get excited for that?:ponder:

As opposed to Jeremiah Washburn? Yeah, it's definitely excitement for me by default.
