I don't know if this has been posted yet, but this was written today in the Honolulu Advertiser...

"Colt Brennan, the University of Hawai'i's record-setting quarterback, is expected to announce Wednesday he will return for his senior season, turning down an opportunity to enter the NFL draft.

Brennan filed paperwork with the NFL on Monday, but had 72 hours to change his mind. He is making his announcement this afternoon in a press conference at the Stan Sheriff Center."

It's official... and a good thing too... Colt needs another year to get bigger and ready.

I think it's the right decision, too, in regards to his development. But also as a Hawaii native and lifelong UH fan, I'm REALLY excited to see what Colt and his squadron of receivers (led by Davone Bess) will be able to do next year!

As a Dolphins fan, though... it puts a damper on this year's QB-class, plus I would've loved to see Colt throwing bullets in Dolphin Stadium... oh well... you never know what may happen in the '08 draft...

dam i have to change mi sig AGAIN first with brohm now brennan

Hes 23, I doubt he'll get bigger and stronger.

None of the other QB's are worth it(at 9th or later).

Trade down.

This is good for us IMO. It makes the '08 QB class much deeper in the event that Culpepper can't recover.

It's bad for us. We expect to be better next year, not worse. Next year I hope to be picking not less than 15, and even that is bad. This was the year. Even B.B. won't be within reach next year.

Randy finds gems in the lower rounds anyway, we gotta go that route.

I say all of this because Dante... can he come back? Joey I was really hoping that he would break out and have a good year, he was steady, but at the very lower end. Cleo...showed some spark at he end, can he progress more? I really like him as a 2nd, plus financially cheap right now.

Good-bye Colt. Now please Mr. Russell pull a Matt this year and someone else pull a Mario.

now all he needs to do become a legitemit first day pick is change schools-run and gun aint fun in the NFL

keep in mind i said first day NOT first round

He would have been a first day pick this year if he had remained eligble. How many times do people have to give examples of the run and shoot working in the NFL for people to realize that a QB in that offense can be successful in the NFL? And you want him to change schools? So he'd have to sit out a year, and forfeit a year of eligibilty(his last) in order to do so. Yea, that makes a whole lot of sense.
