colts release guard.. any interest?

was he injured or something maybe just not that good? started all 16 games for the colts last season any takers?

2005: Started 16 games at LG…with linemates, has helped club produce 5,000+ net yards last two consecutive seasons (club has produced franchise record eight consecutive overall)…line surrendered league-low 20 sacks in 2005…club has led or tied for lead in fewest sacks allowed last two seasons (20, 2005, 1st; 14, 2004, T1st)…with line, helped QB-Peyton Manning extend streak of seasons with 25+-TD passes and 3,000+ yards to eight…line helped RB-Edgerrin James produce 1,506 rushing yards, his fourth career 1,500+ season, including nine 100+ games. POST-SEASON: Started at LG vs. Pittsburgh 1/15. 2004: Started six of seven games…made first career start at Chicago 11/21 at LG and opened at Detroit 11/25, vs. Tennessee 12/5, at Houston 12/12, vs. San Diego 12/26 and at Denver 1/2…with linemates, helped QB-Peyton Manning have one of his league-record six consecutive 4,000+ passing seasons, including club-record 4,557 yards in 2004…line helped club set franchise records in net yards (6,475), points scored (522), TDs (66) and first downs (379)…it was club's first 500+-point season…line surrendered 14 sacks in 2004, tying league low…ratio of sacks per pass plays (1 sack for 38.6 plays (541 pass plays-14 sacks)) ranked 2nd-best in club history…line helped RB-Edgerrin James produce eight 100+ rushing performances, including second career 200+ game at Chicago 11/21…helped offense produce a 4,000+ passer and a 1,000+ rusher and receiver. POST-SEASON: Was inactive 1/9 vs. Denver and 1/16 at New England.

Plus he was on SI's NFL's 2005 All-Pro Team. Might be good to take a look at him.
 
i live in indy and not even reported on tv or local papers....the guy couldnt have been too good....cant find it on any news site either....
 
he might be worth a look. should always be looking to upgrade our Oline

you know, I wont lie, I hoped the best for him over seas, but I think that is as close as he will get to the NFL:lol:
 
Every time a guy gets cut from another team one of these threads starts and usually I ignore them. The guy is generally too old or too marginal.

But this time is differant. Here is a guy who is only 24 and already has 22 starts. Being he is only going into his third year there should be no cap issues for the Colts. Strange they would cut him?????

On the down side he is listed on the NFL site as only 6-2/285, kinda small for a G. The NFL has him listed as a C, though all his pro play has been at G. Is he like Hadnot, a guy who played some C in college but has played guard in the pros?

If I'm the front office, I'm doing my due diligence on him and phoning his agent for a chat.
