Colts War Room reacts to the Dolphins selecting Grant and passing on Warren.

Sheriff doing the best he can and it wasn't good enough. Handsome fellow, he was.
Pat Garrett deputized a reluctant Alamosa Bill, and he still played his string out to the end.

We’ll see how this turns out.

Last year Chop was better than the DE they took before us….

That sure was the pick I was hoping for. Just take the best player on the board because we need talent everywhere! We had plenty of time to address DT and OL later. I'll be watching to see how this plays out -- but given Grier's history and ineptitude in selecting great players I have a good idea already.

Isn’t the first time we’ve been laughed at and won’t be the last under Grier.
Well, it didn't strike me that the Colts' leadership was laughing at the Dolphins' draft selection (Kenneth Grant), it looked as though they were merely laughing with relief at being able to acquire Tyler Warren.

That’s a dumb argument. I guarantee ya youd have had an answer for all that man under 2 deep we saw/see with Brock bowers.

To which you still don’t have an answer. Folks will tell ya the oline and if it plays like a top shelf unit maybe but nothing projects it to be a top unit at this point.
Yeah, but I bet Warren wouldn’t have changed coverages for Miami one bit.

Yeah, but I bet Warren wouldn’t have changed coverages for Miami one bit.

Yea cause he’s nowhere near the receiving prospect Bowers is, he’s generational and that term is thrown around loosely but Bowers is special. If we had the 13th pick last year I would’ve been all over Bowers, he’s a true game changer.

Warren will be a really good TE, but he will never be the weapon Bowers is, a guy you have to gameplan your entire defense around.

I wish Grier wasn't such a wimp and traded down with the Broncos to #20.

I am pretty sure they were one of the teams who was interested in trading up for Warren.

I would have loved to see the Colts war room when that trade was announced lol.

I am pretty sure Grant still would have been there at 20 and even if he wasn't we could have drafted Harmon who has more upside than Grant anyway.
If someone wanted to trade up and get Warren, they would have.

As always we'll have to see how the draft plays out. DT isn't the highest rated position, but TE is arguably the least important position in the NFL. Even the absolute best guys don't have the ability to impact the game the way other top guys at other positions. How many TEs would you trade a first round pick for? 3 maybe 4?

Brock Bowers just put up the best rookie season ever for a TE and he did it on a 4 win Raiders team.

Edit: They weren't crying/laughing at the Dolphins pick.

It was obviously this. The laugh was a nervous, relief laughter that Warren had made it to them, it wasn’t for who Miami had selected.

People will see what they want to see though.
Some (many) like to create artificial drama. Whether it conscious, or just some character flaw in the way their minds work, IDK.

They must've been pissing their pants with laughter when Loveland got drafted by the Bears then. If our UDFA TE Conyers performs how I suspect he might then I believe we will get quite a good laugh ourselves. And, as stated above, who the hell are the Colts to be laughing at anyone, besides themselves perhaps?
