Colts’ win didn’t help Dolphins playoff hopes

The thinking earlier this week was the Dolphins would be pulling for the Colts to stay unbeaten when they played at Jacksonville Thursday night. Truth be told, the outcome of that game had little or no consequence regarding Miami’s playoff hopes.

hm, i might be wrong, but it seems like the Jaguars have one more loss than they had before. not sure how that hurts us.

Example:

If Jax wins out, they will be 10-6. In doing so, they will have beaten the Pats, which will make the Pats 10-6, giving the Pats another conference loss, giving us the tiebreaker with the Pats if our record is the same 10-6. Therefore, we would win the AFCE rather than a WC spot.

The Jax loss last night really didn't mean anything, unless Miami loses another game and an absolute miracle happened and we got in at 9-7.

That would have made no difference considering we played the Colts as well. Jax wins, the colts get a loss and it washes that out.
