I was thinking about this for awhile now, and Steve Kerr just now brought up the possibility as well. I figured I would then post my thoughts..

Indiana may get desperate in the disposal of Ron Artest, and a possibility is there for Artest to land in Miami. This is what I want to see happen, since Artest's value is not very high right now. It still isn't likely since they will probably meet down the road in the playoffs...

This is what I want to see happen:

Indiana gets:
Antoine Walker
Michael Doleac
Draft Pick

Miami gets:
Ron Artest

If anyone can pull off a steal of a trade, it's PAT RILEY. COME ON PAT!

I think the presence of Riley will keep Artest in line, since he needs a fresh start.

PG Jason Williams/Gary Payton
SG D-Wade
SF Ron Artest
PF Udonis Haslem
C Shaquille O'Neal

Stephen A. was actually the first one to mention that trade last night on Quite Frankly. I don't like the trade for the Pacers but it looks like their desperate to get rid of Artest. Something tells me the Knicks will be involved. Isiah was stern last night saying this team needs change immediately!

Plus I don't think Pat likes Artest. Remember that had that blow up on the sideline a couple of years back but your right, if anyone can keep Artest in check, it's Shaq!

Doubt It

Heres what i thinks gonna happen

Pacers Get

Quentin Richarson
Jamal Crawford
David Lee

Knicks Get

Ron Artest

Buddwalk, that trade would be dynamite but the contracts don't work out. Artest signed a 5 years 28 million. Crawford alone makes a lot more then that (and Richardson makes even more)!

Sounds more like Bandwagonry if you ask me! I don't know of many Heat fans in Orlando, let alone of anyone in Orlando that roots for Shaq!

I was born in Miami, lived in kendall and up in Broward county (coral Springs)...all of which was within 40-50 miles of the Miami Arena/American Airlines Arena my whole life. I left south florida to go to college in Orlando, and miss watching my heat on a daily (or every other day) basis.

Is that good enough for you?

And yes, I was around for the glory days of Rony Seikaly and Sherman Douglas when I was a little kid!

I guess that's good enough. I was just curious since I see you're in Orlando. If you remember the glory days, then you remember the trophy that was passed from team to team the first few years when they were both new franchises. It was almost like the championship trophy except it had a flat basketball on it. Miami stopped supporting that rivalry because they didn't want to embrace how bad they were, LOL.

That's more than good enough....I've loved heat basketball since I can remember, even when they have been terrible (which has been the bulk of thier franchise history).

I was around for Seikaly and Douglas's real glory days....I'm a Syracuse fan. :D

I absolutely do NOT understand all the Walker/Artest trade talk. Indiana would have to be three steps beyond desperate to trade Artest for 'Toine. An All-Star forward (albeit a mentally unbalanced one) with a reasonable contract for an unrepentant gunner whose defense has slipped several notches, doesn't like coming off the bench AND is due $54 million over 6 years?

Even if they're resigned to getting 75 cents on the dollar for Artest, Larry Bird can certainly do better than that.
