Not sure I totally agree with his opinion,,,,drafting Levi could be as much of a crap shoot as Quinn,,,( R. Gallery). I agree we need help at the left tackle position,,but Cam also said that he builds a team from the center out. If Cam is sold on CPep as the starting Qb,,which I'm not so sure that he is,,then left tackle is the position I believe we should try and solidify in the draft.

Sounds like someone who believe franchise QB's grow on trees.

Both guys have their pros and cons but QB are more valuable then LT's on any football team.

I have no reason to doubt that if Quinn is available at 9 (which I don't think he will) the Dolphins wouldn't pick him. You don't pass on a guy who's done everything imaginable to prove he's an NFL ready quarterback just because he may be a bust.

Exactly right. If he thinks C-PEP is it, then he better get an LT that contributes right away. Wheather thats Levi Brown or not.

it doesnt really matter IF he is comfortable with c-pep anyways, we draft quinn, let him mature under culpepper if culpepper is doing well and then in two years or so we trade an aging daunte culpepper who may have garnered some trade value with a revival of his previous form, or we just get rid of him cuz he didnt end up being the quarterback we wanted him to be. a situation like carson palmer, and philip rivers(except brees wasnt really old at all... and certainly capable)

I'd rather take the chance of Quinn being real good to potentially great than anyone else available to us at that pick if the opportunity presents itself.

At least he would be strong at 25 reps. Maybe you could play him at Gaurd. No serious, I think it would be a mistake if he was there at 9 for you and you pass up.

he said they want a guy to come in and contribute right away. i take that means that if we draft quinn he will be given every shot at the starting role right off the bat. if that does happen that means DC is gone. he wont be here as a 5.6 mil back up.
if we draft quinn i look for DC to be traded on that same day.

with all the positive DC talk, i wonder if hes out there as trade bait. maybe to cleveland.

I agree with you, all players selected are crap shoots. That being said, the Phins really need a QB, a LT, a LG, and C to make their offense run.

LT and QB should be the priority in the first two rounds.

I'm still not sold on Quinn. Ilike that article and agree. But I also don't think he will be there at 9

It sounds as if Levi Brown may not be quick enough to play left tackle. The #9 pick in the draft would be way too high a pick to spend on a guard or a right tackle, which we already have in Vernon Carey.

This team has been in this hole since Marino, draft a quality QB or we'll be having the same discussion again next year. We have a new coach that is offensive minded, and all I can hope for is that this is the year we finally berak this miserable streak and draft a QB. We have to take a chance sometime, so why not Quinn if he's there? The organization has been looking at him for 2 years now, I don't think they'd waste their time with him if they didn't like the kid. With Shea now on board, how much more input do we need? If he's there at 9, we take him. Hopefully this year is the year we grow some cahones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with the article, our 1st round pick has to start the season opener. LT or DT or even DE or CB. One thing everybody is forgetting is to look at next years draft and how many high level QB's will be coming out, I think there are quite a few.

"The point is that there doesn't appear to be a Young, a Leinart or a Cutler - to use 2006 as an example - on the board this year"

:rolleyes2 Is this guy serious? Quinn leaves ND last year, he automatically becomes the 1st QB taken (No doubt in my or most people at that time's mind), and I will go as far to say, that as high as Stanton's stock was last year, he might have gotten picked top 3 or 4 if he leaves last year of those 5. Now add to that Russell may be better then both Quinn and Stanton, and this guy believes there is no Young Leinart, ot Stanton?

No there is no Young, Leinart, or Stanton this year but there is a Brady, a Russell, a Stanton, a Smith, an Edwards, a Kolb, all QB that could become starters.
