Congratulations to MikeO for having a terrific record at 36-23 so far. That's excellent for publicly announced picks.
BTW, it's hysterical to hear the sportsbook managers and wise guy gamblers whining in unison this season. The favorites have had a big year so the recreational bettors are cleaning up while the sportsbooks have been swamped with huge parlay card losses, and the wise guys who never bet a favorite are cursing and somehow feeling cheated.
I've been hearing it all day for months, and trying to restrain laughter. Those so-called wise guys think they're birthrighted to profit simply via taking points regardless of the talent level, situation or matchup. Laziness personified. It's the "I don't work and my teams don't even have to win" mentality. Now many of them are swearing off football for this season and turning to poker, hoping to recoup by taking advantage of tourists who play stupid by forcing hands that they should fold.
I bet maybe 55/45 underdogs over favorites in pro sports, so I've been burned by many of the favorites, but the weak to mediocre teams as significant favorite have flunked bigtime per usual. The wise guys will routinely bet against top teams like the Colts or Seattle and then can't figure out what went wrong when those teams cover.
