Speaking of turds, good use of terms here, what a jerk Campell turned out to be trying to give a false ID to Atlanta police. The fact that he was carrying the means to attempt the "childish" act is proof enough to me that "he doesn't get it". Bravo Cameron on this "flush" of the toilet.
What do you think is more important:
Skills
or
Integrity

I agree that releasing Campbell was the right move but I don't think Cameron deserves any praise. I love Joey Porter but the guy deserved a suspension from the team. I just don't think it's right that less significant players will be flat out released for their arrests but star players get no punishment whatsoever from the team.

The League took more than adequate care of JP with their fine, should the Fins just pile on unmercifully? I would venture to say that even Joey got the message with that fine.

Is is it fair or right? No, but that's life. No matter what line of work you are in, if you are more valuable to the company than the average employee you will receive preferential treatment. One of the few exceptions is when you are accused of something truly heinous (see Mike Vick). I guess the moral of the story is: if you're going to be stupid, you better be good.
