Comp Picks

No. We had way more pickups than FA losses.
 
I THINK we may end up with some comp picks next year from this coming offseason since we signed so many one year contracts, really not a bad idea on saban's part

Freeman and Fiddler were cut if I'm not mistaken so no comp picks there.

Its possible we will be given a pick or two based on their convoluted net value loss formula. We did sign a few FA's so its also possible we get nothing. Morlon Greenwood was the most significant loss as a FA

Last year the league ripped us off and gave us squat for losing Todd Wade.

Not true. Its based on value lost as well as net players lost. We signed some guys who were cut by their teams like both safeties and Kevin Carter. They will not count as FA's gained.

I was under the impression you actually needed to have a net loss of free agents before their value entered the equation?

I'm not sure this is true. I think Denver got 3 picks despite have a zero or plus one net loss in FA's b/c of the value lost part of that formula.

The problem with this comp system is that the NFL hides behind this formula and doesn't really feel the need to explain how they decide which teams get which picks.
