I haven't supported this garbage team financially by buying their products in years. Specifically flying from the NE to Miami to watch the games. Feels good to not waste my money on this team

We aren't going to get significant compensatory picks until we stop signing big name free agents every year, and start drafting better. We have been active in free agency the last five years. That pretty much precludes getting good comp picks.

We my actually have a shot next year, depending on many variables, but we do have a few pending FA's that could get a big payday somewhere else.

Vernon could get a huge payday, Matthews, and Miller could leave for decent money as well.

Seems we always sign players to offset who leaves, but you never know.

Depends on who they sign as replacements, If the DE from Jets works in place of OV plus a draft pick. Same idea with Miller and any number of placeholder scrubs till the drafted LB*are ready to compete.

*Need a whole lot defense in the draft not just LB's

Now, that being said, of course you want to build through the draft - BUT - there is nothing wrong with adding free agents.
