Complain # 1 - Bypassing the profanity filter

I see people work around it all the time yet when I do it I get a little MOD EDIT about it. If you guys are going to enforce the rules enforce towards everybody and not just towards a few people.

For example some of the profanity bypassed words I see are

arse
azz

****

I need not go on, but I see a lot of these words in a lot of threads and yet I am the only on that got the MOD EDIT. I am cool with abiding by the TOS but if its going to be enforced make sure its enforced towards everyone. That is all and thats my rant.

We enforce the rules for everyone. We don't however see every single post on the board. If you see someone circumventing the filter, report it to us by clicking the alert icon to your left.

Well my thing is I dont snitch unless its offensive to me. Thats just me, thats the way I grew up. Besides I reported a post once and nothing happened. OHH WELL.

But if we use curse words would you want us to put an asterisk in the middle somewhere vs an at sign or an exclamation mark?

So basically you want to complain about us not seeing everything (rather, you accuse us of singling you out) and getting on everyone. But when we ask you to help point things out, you refuse.

Why does this not suprise me. Because everyone loves to *****, but very few actually care to do something about it.

You're not the only one who has ever gotten a mod edit about circumventing the profanity filter. So please don't even throw that BS crap out there like that.

Why do people whine and cry about stuff like this?? It's like everybody's 5 years old again and concerned about everything being fair and mommy punishing everybody instead of just obeying the rules. The rational is, if somebody else broke a rule and got away with it unpunished (for whatever reason), they should too. "You NEVER do anything to Billy!!". And it's always "You're singling me out". Like we go out looking for ways to create more work and aggravation for ourselves.

I guess I felt like ranting too. Not very adminly of me.

I don't think I've ever seen anybody who cried "poor me", that actually had a point.

Of course, I've never seen anybody that didn't violate the rules complain about being singled out.
