Why do we run the same two plays out of it every time? There are so many possibilities out of that formation, but we settle on the two least effective every time. Why is that?

IMO, we were going to run something different out of it yesterday, until our center forgot how to snap the ball to Brown. I think we liked what we saw on the first bad snap because we lined up in the exact formation again the next time... and ANOTHER bad snap. All Brown could do is pick it up and run into the pile.

I still want to see Ginn at QB in the wildcat, they ran that at OSU a bunch of times. He was a QB in HS. Come on Henning, try it!

i think we'll just keep running the same few plays until they stop working then add a few to the repertoire - just keep adding more to keep it fresh and to keep the opposing defense honest. we want to keep that gimmick going on for as long as possible. that's what i'm hoping at least.

You are right, there are so many possibilities, even including Ted Ginn as who gets the direct snap or running a reverse like ricky does.

I think we should just discard the wildcat until the last game vs the Jets.

I think we are using it too much! Ronnie should of just pounded the football for 100+ yards with the basic formation!!!

I agree with that, I like the wild cat maybe 1 to 3 times in the game, and that should be on first down, and never run it twice in a row, were not fooling anybody anymore unless they add some new wrinkles, pennington can get it done I feel like were taking the ball out of our leader and play maker, and ronnie and ricky can get it done the old fashion way, right up the gut, they should each get the ball 15 -20 times in a game imo

Agreed.. I almost wince everytime we use it. There just seems to be little effectiveness, and not enough imagination. The run isn;t working out of it because we dont pass enough out of it. It has become lame. Give it an injection of some imagination or just put her down already!

I'd like to know why we seem to run the Wildcat on second and long so much. It's kind of a make or break formation and we seem to get into third and long out of it a lot. I'd rather see it on first down more.

I think Ronnie needs to start running it himself more often out of the wildcat. I feel like as of late it has always gotten to Ricky and he just slips and blows the play up. Ronnie needs to keep it because when he does he is very successful. IMO we are just making it seem like we are done the wildcat but I think there will come a week where we just use some rediculous play that hasnt been seen for a big play.

We passed out of it yesterday.

I think we are saving the good stuff for when we really need it, JETS and playoffs. We will show it to other teams, see how they line up to defend it keep them honest by running it a few times. The teams left on our Schedule we do not have to use it to beat them. The Pats were different, our D couldnt stop them so we couldnt take any chances with mistakes and turning the ball over because we were in a shoot out with them. (See the jets yesterday, it ended up costing them a TD) I think we are being smart about it.

So we don't tip our hat, or the Coaches feel if we can't make those work, how we gonna make anything else work.
And as an after thought. We have 2 new guys in the line, how much practice do they have running the Wildcat.
