Concern about Quinn..misplaced?

I don't pretend to know a lot about him, and did not see him play, so maybe some who have can answer this. I read this article http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/10020113 and what concerned me was this statement

-----Still another negative for Quinn is that he is not especially accurate on his throws beyond 20 yards. His longer passes don't consistently have much zip and too often miss their mark. On the other hand, Russell's deep ball travels like a laser and usually winds up in the right place.----

Is this true? if so, do we want this for the Phins? ..thanks..t

Edit: Mods if this belongs in draft forum, please move and forgive me..thanks..t

His deep ball accuracy has been questioned by several online publications. That is not to say that he cannot improve in that area but right now it is a concern.

He could have put those concerns to rest at the combine but elected not to participate in any of the throwing drills. I guess we'll know more after his pro day workout on Sunday.

it is unfair to compare anybody to Russel as far as the deep ball is concerned, his deep ball is better than all but maybe 3 pro QBs

Thanks guys...when i read that i had visions of Fiedler's lame duck throws...haha...i wish i had seen him play now that it is a strong possibility Miami may take him...

Thanks for the film clip.....good to be able to see him in action..t

I saw his deep pass hit Smardja (sp) in the helmet. Looked pretty god to me. Still rather take my chances w/ cpep.

thankfully it's up to Cameron not you and Cameron won't stick with Saban's mistake

He is suffering from Leinartitis. He's been consistently good for several yrs so his game has been overly scrutinized. He's the best QB prospect in this draft when you consider the whole package.

And you know this how ? How is you opinion any more valid or applicable to the situation. No one knows what Cameron is going to do.

Leinartitis?

no way you can honestly believe leinart is as good as young or cutler

Lienart won championships as I recall.Quinn has better tools than Lienart. Does he have the same composure is the question.

I'm now thinking that we may not get Quinn, he may fall to the Vikings as the 7th pick???

Cameron is a QB guy, he developed or at least had a hand in developing both Brees and Rivers. the biggest problem on this team is the QB position, I don't think Culpepper is a Cameron type QB and for Cameron to go with him he would be hinging part of his future on Culpepper. Cameron has already dumped one of Saban's guys in Harrington, I forsee a cut or trade in Culpepper's future

You guys might not think so, but the most beautiful ball I have seen thrown is by Chris Leak. I am not a Leak fan, and I think that some times he makes mental errors in the game, but all his throws are beautiful.
I have been watching Brady Quinn for three years. I have watched tape on him for at least an hour every day for the last 3 months. I am very impressed by his game. He is a very smart QB. He is very accurate, but some times he can be inconsistent. That is why he might have a horrible first quarter, and a supreme rest of the game.
Russell is a great QB and I wish him well, but I want to see Quinn in Miami.

He doesn't have the prettiest long ball but Ryan Leaf does. As long as Brady can make the throws that are typical of a Cameron offense (medium-long to short) he should be fine.
