Thing is; There's not really that much anyone can do. What did he do that was illegal? Nothing really. He pretended to be Bess...He brandished a gun and talked about banging some chicks, but, nothing that was actually illegal.
Bess would have to sue him for slander.....Slander cases are very hard to prove. The reward would be minimal. About the only thing that could be done is to go after Twitter, like LaRussa did. Still, even at that, it just resulted in a settlement and forced Twitter to do some better account verification practices that aren't all that great....As we see.
The best thing was that this dummy has been nailed, and, is outted as a fraud and a loser.

Several users reported that they heard him smoking weed during the ustream broadcast. He also was trying to get people to score him women, although I dont think he was exchanging money for these services, only his "fame". And he brandished a gun and said he was going to bring it to a club.
I guess you are right though, I don't think they could get him for any criminal things, unless this would be enough for them to raid his house for drugs...
i've seen too many cases where you would think no one would or even could take legal action for me to believe there is nothing they could do to this guy for pretending to be DB.

Well, thing is that it would have to be proven that he was, in fact, smoking weed. He could always say he was just joking. Even if he tests positive, it does not mean that he was smoking week right then.
Brandishing a gun online is not illegal. He did not make any terroristic threats to anyone in conjuction with it...Only saying he was going to take it to the club. Nothing illegal about SAYING you are going to take a gun to a club.
Now, as you say...If I'm the cops? That's PC right there to get a warrent for his residence...At least the drugs part. If it turns out he's a felon, the gun could be charges too.
Really, unless he benefitted financially from the sheme and fraud could be proven, he hasn't done anything execpt be a jerk. He did cause Bess damage, potentially, but again...What's he got that Bess would want for damages? Bess would probably spend more in legal fees that he'd get in return...This jackass would get the attention he so deeply craves.....I just don't see the point where it's a win situation for Bess.

Oh, certainly Bess could sue him. Without question he'd have a case for defamation. The problem is that these sorts of cases, are usually losers in any case for the victims. Damage awards in these cases are usually low. Most times legal costs are not even recouped. This jerk gets more attention, and, Bess has to deal with this bullcrap when he needs to be concerned with football.
At best, probably Bess could pursue a cease and desist order to serve on Twitter. That will probably just cause the wanker to have his account cancelled and for him to re open it.

well he's also the one who get to the key sources and solved this mess - getting a statement from both the Dolphins and now (recently posted) Davone Bess's agent.
His agent said Davone is very upset over this and they plan on prosecuting.
also - I don't see that post your talking about anyhere so i dont know what to make of u placing some blame on him.

The fact that Davone's agent called the NFL on Monday as soon as he heard about this show's Romio doesn't know Davone.In fact you may be the only one that believes him on this site.
Also i helped uncovering this impostor as well.I spent over 15 hours on this,this weekend.
Most of the credit Should go to Finstache in my eye's but their were many that helped bring that sucKer down, as well as Matty, but he could of avoided all this by calling Miami's front office to start with.
LOL, but i thought he was real even after i saw him on Cam, and thought it was Bess tell i saw Finstache put up the side by side Pic's.That's when i was like wait.............................. i saw the guy on the left on that cam , lol

I for one will not say Romeo doesn't know Bess, he's been correct on Bess since he's been here... I don't know why he can't know him, since Bess is a person just like anyone else in the world.. He knew ppl growing up, in school, in college and in his community, there's probably a lot of ppl who know Bess.. why can't Romeo be one of them... it doesn't make sense to attack the guy especially without proof that he doesn't know him..
