Excellant breakdown of the players 4 th practice especially Tannehill , the receivers and the defense.
We all complain about the local reporters but this guy is very good.

Fun fact: He's also number 2 in Pittsburg passing records behind Danny Boy.
Is Tannehill ready to take the next step? Congemi says YES

If this team can gel, we may have something here..I'm hoping the passing game comes along because that is the key to how far this O goes, we can't have a bunch of 3 and outs at the pace they go, that's a lot of pressure on the D...so I hope the OL really becomes solid..

Most important points Congemi made about Tannehill's throwing:

1. Timing has been good (ball out before guys come out of breaks)
2. Throwing guys open, not leading them into "headaches"
3. Manipulating ball location (see above point)

When asked about the receivers, without hesitation Congemi started out with Jeff Fuller. Then he brought up Rishard Matthews who he said picked it up over the last couple of days. But then he just started talking about everyone, Marlon Moore, Roberto Wallace, blah blah blah. Sometimes I wish these people realized that the more guys they talk about the less significant their observations are. He did at least finish out by re-emphasizing that Fuller and Matthews are the two young guys he thinks have flashed the most, no offense to the other young guys.

Kim Bokamper thinks Julius Pruitt has been good.

Number one observation about the defense is "speed". Moving to the football quickly.

Kim Bokamper makes the point that they've had five guys sitting together on the first string OL for four straight days, which he likes, as opposed to what we've seen in the past with the constant shuffling.

Do you think Ryan Tannehill has a legit chance to start Week 1? John Congemi: Yes.

" He's throwing receivers open" says Congemi referring to Tannehill.

That's what we're looking for.

CK I'm Stoked about the potential!!!!

When asked to discribe the new defense. JC just said "fast". Maybe this year we finally get the turnovers we have been looking for.

That little tidbit alone makes me happy.

Seriously!!! During Sparano's initial time I was hoping he was an OL guru as advertised and that he was fine-tuning the line. Over the years he repeated the "chemistry lab" on the line and prevented chemistry from developing. Between that practice and adding progress inhibitors like Columbo Sparano pretty much retarded the small amount of chemistry the line would eventually develop until about the 7th game of the season every year.

Since this won't get mentioned in this thread .....

Congemi also mentioned how ALL the quarterbacks are throwing well and putting the balls in great spots.

I think Jeff Fuller will be the only rookie WR to make the 53.

I saw a few clips of him just beasting the ball in the air. Way better than Wallace has been IMO.

That's expected of Garrard and Moore. They've been here before. But a "raw" rookie hasn't

It is? That's not the vibe I get reading this forum.

Regardless, that "raw" rookie came in with a couple seasons under Sherman and that playbook. He's not going out there having to process a new system while he's adjusting to the speed of the NFL game. So am I surprised to see him know where to go with the football? Not at all .... and as I said in another thread, I'm more interested in how he performs against legit competition than what he's doing vs. our 2's & 3's.

The ironic thing is that there was never any evidence that Sparano was a good offensive line coach before he came here. He was just an offensive line coach who got promoted to head coach, so everyone assumed he must've been a good offensive line coach.

Thanks for the write-up ... don't know why people want to make chicken-doody videos? Guess they want to blah-blah-blah around facts and analysis.

I like Fuller - Great size, familair with Sherman and Tannehill - i hope he is the 4/ 5th Wr - Wallace - Moore- Pruitt have been 4th -5th an PS players for the past several seasons if they dont get it this training camp then it is time too move on!
