It was nice to see Leonte Carroo get his first NFL touchdown. He stepped in for Parker and played relatively well. I know we gave up a lot to get him and he hasn't played much this season, but it was great to see him perform when his number was called.

It was a pretty good play, too. One thing that is intriguing about Carroo is his size and overall athleticism, makes him a more credible red zone threat.

Seemed like all of our wide receivers were open all day long. Good to see Carroo get some action. He's someone who hasn't been used much, but hopefully he can continue to contribute.

As soon as he caught it and turned, I was like "Touchdown", the kid is too big to be brought down by one arm. The DB had no chance, the kid is too strong.

congrats but still pissed at the pick. Not the player but the pick.

I don't care how we got him. It's great to see him contributing. Excited to see more.

I know someone who knows Carroo personally and thought about calling him after the touchdown, but decided against it. After 20 minutes or so my phone rings and it's my friend calling to ask how he looked on the TD. Anyway, I told him your boy just scored a TD with his man dragging on him from behind. My friend couldn't see the game for work reasons but was all excited knowing he could rely on me to talk with him about it. It's kind of cool. Just thought I'd share a personal story with my fellow Dolfans.

PBP: Dolphins not afraid to call play for TD-scoring Leonte Carroo

"...Carroo was drafted by Miami in the third round out of Rutgers and entered the game with only two catches on the season, both in the season opener.

But when starter DeVante Parker went out with a back injury, Carroo was pressed into action.

“Just go out there and continue to help the team, continue the success,” Carroo said. “The offense was rolling. Just because DeVante went down doesn’t mean that we have to stop as an offense or Head Coach (Adam) Gase has to be afraid to call plays my way. That’s exactly what we did, he got the ball in my hand and I was able to make a play.”

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill said Carroo was prepared.

“He’s been there, kind of our fourth, fifth guy all year, and for him to come in, in a big situation, in the fourth quarter and have a big run after catch – a physical run – after he had the ball in his hands for a touchdown. (I’m) really proud of him,” Tannehill said.

Carroo has made a positive impact on Miami’s special teams and on Sunday he made a key play on offense.

“That just goes to show you never know what can happen in this league,” he said. “You have to continue to go out there and make plays and like I said just have that next man mentality, just go out there and finish. We did a great job, credit to the offense, defense, and special teams. We all worked off each other and played hard.”

Just saw the replay, dude looked like a beast out there - I can definitely see where the Boldin comparisons come from. Now for that breakout 200 yd game that Boldin had in AZ....

Hoping to see him more on the outside.

Parker and Carroo on the outside, and Landry in the slot when we go 3 wide in the redzone.
