While his team struggled versus back ups, his team found a way to make the postseason. His team is far from perfect, but he cobbled a team effort to get through. He was gutsy all season and was so on a fake punt in OT.

He is charismatic and has a bright future.

I post this not as a Chargers fan, but a direct salvo to those that dumped on me regarding McCoy's candidacy as the head coach of the Dolphins. I was reminded how Joe Philbin was a better coach all year. I guess that is not the case tonight.

There will be excuses of why McCoy is in the playoffs such as schedule, Phillip Rivers and the Chiefs playing back ups. The bottom line is, in his first year, he has a trip to Cincinnati next week. His future is bright.
 
No. KC had the game won but Succop pulled a Dan Carpenter and blew the game for KC. But hey it's Mike McCoy who gets the credit. No offensive guys worth a **** plays for KC and they're a made FG away from winning in San Diego.

If anything McCoy is the luckiest coach out of the bunch between John Harbaugh, Philbin, and Tomlin.
 
Sorry because I like most of your posts and im still angry about our team but unless you know him personally, who cares??

to be honest i expected better coaching from him today, he kind of backed into the playoffs, he got lucky that succop missed a fg at the end of regulation only a 41 yard one. and barely beat back ups. he basically got in due to the ravens and dolphins just flat out choking.
 
Theres no way they just made the playoffs, they didnt wait 5 years before they had success. Everyone knows that you have to wait over half a decade before you can succeed. If you make changes before that your just "constantly" rotating people in and out and are doomed to failure.
 
C'mon. KC missed a field goal to win in regulation. So McCoy should've lost to the Chiefs' backups just as he lost to the Dolphins. This proves nothing.
 
This is not so much a pro McCoy thread as it is retorting to all that dumped on me about why he should be the coach of our team.

Tell me you would not want him running this organization compared to Joe Philbin?
 
Congrats to McCoy for taking over a talented team that was a perrenial playoff team turned poorly coached mediocre team and turned it into...a mediocre team that backed into the playoffs. Clearly the next Belichick.

What has he done that would make someone other than you want him to run the Dolphins?
