Jets have been asking for this since their trash talking began. I can't think of a worse place in the post-season to lose. So close to the Superbowl...yet so far. Sound familiar Jets?

well jet fans you can buy all of those afc champ shirts and tell people who don't watch football you won.
 
With the 29th pick, the Jets select....

The Colts resting their starters in Week 15, actually turned out to be the best thing for the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots. Had the Jets lost that game, they would have got the 14th overall pick.

Now, the Jets pick 29th and now have a lot of restrictions during free agency. Sure Jet fans will say that going this far gives the team confidence for the future. Perhaps to a point that is true, but how did going to the Conference Championship in 2008 help the Eagles this season? Heck, last year's Super Bowl Champion didn't even make the playoffs.

The Jets will be the popular pick by some for next year but really they face a big uphill climb to stay with the Patriots and Dolphins. Two teams that are loaded with draft picks and face no free agency restrictions. Was there really that much of a gap between the Dolphins and Jets this year? I don't know, ask the broom we used to sweep them.

I dont know if they make 3rd place AFC East shirts and hats to wear but you guys can go looking for them.
