Congress to look into BCS

This is some kind of early April Fool's joke or something, right?

It's so rediculous that they keep shoving their nose where it doesn't belong: sports. Congress should never had anything to do with baseball, and it shouldn't have anything to do with football either.

They have a legal right to look into the MLB. The have allowed the MLB to be exempt for the antitrust laws since the Supreme Court ruling in 1922. The congress could've acted then or since to take away that exemption but hasn't allowing the MLB to be the only buisness to be exempt.

Well, legal right or not, they still don't belong there.

:confused2 Maybe, I couldn't really say either way. But if the PU had allowed it to be cleaned up earlier they probably would have never put themselves in it.

Man I sure am glad this isn't a time of war or anything. This whole thing with congress getting in everyones business is getting out of hand. It was justifiable with baseball, claiming that it is effecting the youth, but how do you justify this? Its frustrating?!

I can't wait to read the headline "Sally sells Lemonade for $1; Congress looks into it"

"Everyone knows Lemonade should sell for 25 cents a cup, 50 max., but a dollar?!" said John McCain "Sally's increaslingly high prices are causing competition between our youth. Soon Tommy's "lemonade stand" will be a sweat shop"

Yeah the BCS is flawed...but let the NCAA handle that

I bet nothing will come of this if Texas gets into the Rose Bowl.

The Committee Chairman is *drum roll* Joe Barton, a Texas Republican.

So you're saying if Colorado beats Tex. and PSU goes in then there will be a big to do? ;)

I don't like the bcs but i really don't think its that big of an issue. Is the bcs setting a bad example for our children? Am i missing something?
