Connecticut tight end Sean McQuillan, an NFL supplemental draft entrant, ran the 40-yard dash in 4.77 and 4.78 seconds and bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times during his workout for NFL teams.

McQuillan was 6-foot-3, 241 pounds with 32 1/4 arms, 9 1/4 hands. He had a 4.38 short shuttle, a 7.16 three-cone drill and a 9-foot broad jump. He didn’t do the vertical leap because the equipment wasn’t available.

McQuillan left school after a fight with his roommate.

He has a July 17 court appearance for second-degree assault and disorderly conduct charges. Per a source, McQuillan’s legal outlook is promising.

Fourteen NFL teams have inquired about McQuillan in the past few days. The Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions attended the workout, where McQuillan had no drops and caught the football smoothly.
Last season, he caught 16 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. He scored the lone touchdown in the Huskies’ spring game this year.

So if these guys go undrafted I assume any team can sign them just like in the regular draft.

From my understanding the supplemental draft runs in the exact same order as the regular draft....you can draft a player in any round from One to Seven, but if you draft a guy in say the 4th round of the supplemental draft, you use up your fourth draft pick in 2016 in return. I heard Isaiah Battle is about the only guy worth using a pick on.

I like the fact that Miami is not leaving any stone unturned.

Yes and here is a little more...

The rules of the supplemental draft are simple. The league’s 32 teams are placed into three tiers and ordered via a lottery. The first tier is teams with six or fewer wins the previous season. The second tier is teams with seven or more wins that didn’t make the playoffs. The final tier is the 12 playoff teams.

The team with the worst record has the best chance of winning their tier’s lottery. After the lottery the draft order is set. Teams then silently place a bid on a player with a round associated. If they have the highest bid, they’re awarded the player and forfeit the corresponding pick in the next year’s draft.

From what I am hearing he need some work. It will be red shirt year in NFL 2015. Should of stayed. In school

The bench is nice, but not sure about the 40. Isn't that fairly slow even for a TE. I think Clay ran about the same and he has been slayed on this board

The Rams picked Clemson offensive tackle Isaiah Battle in the fifth round of NFL supplemental draft today

Think that might be all..
