In games the Dolphins have run the ball 24 or more times they are 6-0. In games where they ran the ball 23 or less times they are 1-5 with their lone win coming against the Jets on Monday night.
Here is the thing though, while they are 10th in the league in rushing yards per game (120.3) and 5th in ypa with 4.6 those stats go down as the game goes on.
In the first 10 rushes in a game the Dolphins average 4.8 ypc good for 3rd in the league. On carries 11-20 they average 3.8 carries, only good for 18th best in the league. On carry 21+ they average 2.3 ypc good for only 20th in the league.
So, why does the YPC drop off and how can it be fixed?
