I think Ricky Williams' day today was great for many reasons. Yes he is an elite runner and i would love to see him stay in Miami.

However, this was a good showcase for him to the rest of the NFL. He has had a good year but today really showed he can get back to the level he was at when he retired when he is the feature guy.

He has to be good for AT LEAST a 2nd rounder maybe even a late first. I prefer to see the duo remain in Miami although.

And my last point, if we do keep both, who will be the starter? I have no idea, should be interesting. At least we have a controversey instead of no one at all. Next year should be GREAT. GO FINS!

I think Ricky Williams is thinking the same way he was before the game and now! I don't think he wants to be the centre of attention so there is no problems in Miami.

I would rather have Ricky than a 2nd rounder personally. What if Ronnie is injuried again? It's good to know ricky can carry the load.

Do you remember that, going into the last draft, the two top RBs at the time could have been had for a 2nd round choice and there were NO takers. Ricky performed well today but there is no reason for any other team to believe that he will perform that way for them and no guarantee that he won't be a head case again.

I don't see it happening.

Besides, his realistic trade value is worth less than his current worth to the Dolphins.

I want to keep Ricky... If Ronnie goes down (ala this week) it's nice knowing the season isn't over (ala 2004 when Ricky left and then every week there was a new problem).

Ricky increased his value today...

to the OUR team and has proven how important he is to OUR team.

Today showed us how valuable Ricky is to us. I would not even trade him for a first.

I don't think Saban ever had plans to trade Ricky and I don't think he does now.

That said, if some team in the upper part of the 1st round offers a #1 pick + for Ricky, Saban will listen. But, regardless of his productivity, that is very unlikely.

No one has EVER doubted Ricky's running ability and that if his head is on straight he's a top 10, perhaps top 5 back in the league. But, his ability on the field is simply not the question mark for Ricky.

Overall, there is NO controversy. Ricky and Ronnie will be on the team next year (barring an excellent offer of multiple picks) and they will be a solid combo. Another off-season of work and more ingenuity by the OC and they can both average 16-20 carries/game and we can have as good a running game as there is in the NFL (aside from Atlanta with Vick - but those are unconventional rushing stats).

Didn't we and the rest of the league know Ricky could do this before today? Why is there a controversy now?

The next clown that brings up trading ricky should be either taped to a goal post or exilled to alaska. we need two power rbs and trading minor for a faster or a big rb would not be uncalled for.

If anything, Saban will strive to implement more packages to take advantage of the two backs at once! Can you imagine a QB coming into the league with a solid defense, good WR's, and a Strong running game could do? Look to Pittsburgh. I would argue the Fins could make a solid run at it next year with solid QB play all year long. Frerotte will still be the starter, and our backup will be a draft pick.

Ronnie's the starter and Ricky has no problem with that. There's nothing to worry about...I agree with those who said is great to have both of them in case one goes down for a game or 2...Also, they both stay fresh....we're keeping Ricky and Ronnie's the starter and is all good.

i disagree b/c if you LOOK RW was in a ryhtm taht he was in during his great year we all know about. wehn u switch RB u lose their momentum. if you look, RW woudl gain 8 yrds hten 9 then 16 then 3 then 2 then 14 then 8 etc etc as oppose to before where it was 3 5 1 or -1 3 4 etc etc. taking them out affects their play i believe. especially since htey stay in the game n notcie diff thisng happen they can adjust to it when they keep switching they dont seem to adjust as well as that. we had almost 200 yrs rushing iwht 1 back, we can't do taht wiht 2 rb! we got to 190 vs NO but thats a horrible Defense. Tenn is known for having a very GREAT RUN blocking Def. i thnk this means soemthing if u ask me.

 I'd like to continue to see the R&R Express run it down the field again next season.
