After taking a night and a few extra hours to sleep on it, I think the thing I'm most annoyed about is our tendency to call that stupid corner lob pass all the time. Yeah, it worked with Chambers for the first score, but that was plain lucky. If the CB turns quicker it's a pick. It is the most "interceptable" pass in the game. It only works if you have Randy Moss or some other freak of nature who will just out-jump everyone - every time.

I don't mind that they called 4 passing plays to end the game, even though a run on first and or second down wouldn't have hurt. What irks me is, except for the very last play (a sort-of drop), we didn't run any patterns!!! That lob play is so over-used and unsuccessful it makes me sick. It is a total cop-out for an OC to call that play. He needed to send in 4 WR's and run crossing routes or try to hit Randy M. in the back of the endzone... something... ANYTHING other than wasting the first 2 plays with that dumb pass (with the sun directly into our WR's eyes not to mention)!!! UGH!!!

The worst part of that play was that we ran it TWICE into the corner of endzone with the sun int their eyes! There was NO excuse for that.

Two weeks in a row that the loss is on Linehan.

after the 2nd lob failed. they showed a close up of chambers (i think) walking back to the huddle, looking at the sidelines, putting his hands in front of his face, as to say, "i could not see the ball becuase of the sun".

the OC did not take the sun as a factor. only a small part of the field was in the sun, and they threw there twice. i wont say the lob was a bad call, because a lob to chambers is generaly a good play. but the defender had good coverage, and it just didnt work. but im sure, if he could do it over, he would have thrown the lob to the other side of the field.

Everyone realizes that Gus coulda audibled..and that is where he wanted to go..or chambers told him to lob it to him...everyone is jumping to conclusion to fast

why should he have audibled? he had one-on-one coverage. hes best WR, covered by their suck *** corner.

the OC called the Lob. there is no time to throw anywhere else on those plays. he saw the D was going to give him that 1 on 1 matchup. and took it like he should have.

Gus should not be asked to think about other factors, other than the play call, their formation, and the defensive formation.

In fact it was a GREAT call if...it were in the shade part of the field. Chambers was matched up against a 3rd string CB. The fact that it was called twice with the sun in the receiver's eyes did make it rath:shakeno: er STUPID!
