Cornerback Sean Smith Is Ready For New England

Two weeks from tonight, the Miami Dolphins will square off against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. The goal of the entire team exiting pre-season is to focus on the Patriots. Smith says that he’ll be ready and that he’s been thinking about the challenge since the schedule was announced. Here’s Sean’s time with the media this afternoon:

His tackling and toughness are definitely questionable, but I don't think a single completion was given up by Smith during the Tampa Bay game. Definitely one of the better corners in coverage.

They all better learn how to catch the damn ball or it doesnt matter how good any of them are in coverage. Without turnovers a great defense is a mediocre defense.

I say to Sean, if your not going to learn the basics of tackling-we do not need you on the team. Grow some hair on your balls, put your head in there and make a tackle. The last attempt on the receiver Saturday nite was PATHETIC! The last time I looked it did not say Sanders on the back of your jersey.

They stay on the same side, so the offense will actually dictate who covers who. However, this season Davis and Smith have switched sides which theoretically means either could play either side. But that's not how our scheme works and I predict they will each just play their own side.
