Did anyone catch this? All I can say is wow. You talk about a guy you would run through the wall for, this is it. I'm not saying he should be our guy. I'm not even saying he should be considered. But compare this to the drivel we have heard from coaches for so long in Miami when at the podium. This guy gets it. He is a throwback to the old school coaches who wanted to do it the right way. While winning was the goal, winning the right way was the bigger goal.

Its just an unbelievable listen, if you have 18 minutes to spare. It is not surprising the success this guy has had all the way back to college and at multiple stops in the NFL. I'm thinking he's not done.

i listened to this live on WFAN this morning. I agree it was incredible. He is the definition of class act. I would take Coughlin as our HC in a heartbeat.

I agree. There are certain organizations who can probably support having an up and coming OC/DC. Unfortunately, I don't think we are one of them. If we went the direction of Tom Coughlin for 3-5 years to right the ship, then promoted an assistant from his staff, I would be more than happy with that. He's the type of guy that can change the culture of our organization.

Thanks for posting, I didnt catch this earlier. Wow is right! Him talking about "football people" made me cringe because I know if we did bring him in to interview, he would sniff out the Dolphins BS in seconds. Coughlin gets it. He oozes what a coach should stand for. Class act. Steve Ross should dream of landing someone of Coughlin's ilk.

You're exactly right my friend. Some of the Finheaven posters don't want the Coughlin's or other coaches with tremendous experience for some reason. They need to understand that the guys who've been there before, know what it takes. They can at least point you in the right direction. Right now, we don't know what the right direction is.

Coughlin would want no part of this laughable crap show, and rightfully so.

And the best moment from that presser not seen above.

Didn't even need to be a local to see Coughlin get a raw deal from the media every year. Much respect for this guy. I live amongst Pats fans and 2007 was a dream.

This coach has changed with the times. He was a strict disciplinarian no nonsense coach in Jacksonville(General Coughlin) but, softened his stance to more of a players coach to connect more with today's younger, richer NFL player. Would love to see Campbell sit underneath him for a couple of years as an assistant head coach? Coughlin would change the culture of losing in Miami. I like it.

I am a big Caughlin fan. Anyone that thinks that he cannot coach because he is 69..,old...is crazy.
He is exactly what this team needs.
Shanahan would be a great choice also.

That's a football coach right there , presser was awesome! I would take him in a heart beat

If you are going to throw a lot of money at any coach this is the guy. Pipe Dream..

Thanks for posting. Tough to argue that this guy couldn't right the ship!

Again....take a close look at the lousy job the GM of the Giants has done in the last 8 years or so....not hard to see why Coughlin's teams struggled so much....still he managed to pull them together in big games.

I'm sure Adam Gase would garner the same respect in the locker room.

Please note my sarcasm.
