It's unfortunate that now he may never make that kind of money again or do his job he loves at the level he should. It is unfortunate that the fans and new staff have treated him like dirt.

How have they treated him like dirt??? No one on this board is qualified to even begin to put a group of players together and put a team on the field. We have no idea what went on behind closed doors, for all we know the phins may have asked Daunte to stay and restructure his contract, or look we would like to work with you but your going to have to change this or that, and maybe he didn't want to change. What's so unfortunate that he can't make tons of money again??? If I could make his 1 year's salary, I'd be set for life. Most of us would play pro ball for free if we could get the chance. He got his chance, and HE SCREWED UP, if he wasn't ready to come back he should have "Man'ed Up" and told the phins not this year but I'll be ready for next year. He wasn't treated like dirt.

It was more of a dig at Ricky than an injured Dante, but to borrow a line from "The Edge".... "Never feel sorry for a man who owns a plane" or in Dante's case, a man who could buy one just for rehabbing on the Dolphins dime.
