ok i knwo this is an unusual comparison he hasnt played an NFL down but i read that he is a downhill runner not shifty runs people over deceptively fast. Sounds like a Marion Barber to me now if he turns out to be him FANTASTIC...i dont take much in what scouts outside the team say and what experts say i look at when he has the pads strapped on and with the pads on this kid looks like a stud and could be our MBIII thats my bold prediction. I hope im right

I drew up the same comparison due to Parcells drafting both of them.

Boo I wish his name was Mike Hart.

:)

Mike heart is still on the board, xavier omon (no idea who he is) was selected after we took the toledo kid. Obviously GM's are not as high on hart as people on this board

yeah MBIII was a late 4th rounder with similar characteristics to him should be interesting to see how he runs against NFL defenses i hope he runs as fierce as i saw in some highlights he just refused to go down...i would say strap em on and go run some people over someone kid...people say he needs a few years b4 he becomes a 3rd back i say he on the field with on 3rd downs and goal line this year and will be #2 back in a year or two

i was thinking more of a jerome bettis, hearst type of guy. i just can't believe we have yet to take a secondary guy.

Hell i will take Bettis from him Barber/Bettis somewhere in between and i will be happy...he will see the field this year

Marion Barber is one in a million, you won't get a guy that put up numbers like him in the 6th round, if he comes close to MB3 then Parcells and the Dolphins scouting staff are true draft gurus

Well he looks like he has the same style of MB III. will he be exactly like him no but each back is different in a way. No one will ever be Ricky or Jim Brown he will be unique i think this guy has alot to offer and will show his determination in camp.

Actually, NFL.com says that Lex Hilliard is our MB3.

Compares To: MARION BARBER, III-Dallas...Hilliard is a load to bring down in one-on-one situations (54.9% of his non-touchdown runs the last two years, 130-of-299, required multiple defenders to bring him down). He has the forward body lean, leg drive and power to consistently get the tough yardage between the tackles. He is more quick than fast and has been quite as productive getting long yardage off draw plays. He is a capable receiver on controlled routes and has developed into a capable cut blocker. He has made strong recovery from an Achilles tendon injury, but because of a lack of blazing speed, he is better served as an inside runner than one who should be attacking the edges. Barber is a more polished route-runner and receiver, but when used on controlled routes, Hilliard has proven to be a capable safety valve.
