Countless times I saw Pennington dink it off to the halfback or whomever on third and long and we would not get the first. Was this because no one would get open downfield or is pennington afraid to throw it. I am sort of expecting the answer to be that no one was open, but I didnt see what happened.

We need more than just Ginn. They were all over him b/c he is our only threat as a wide out. They had us covered. Pennington did throw a long pass. Ginn was not open.

i guess most forgot or didnt hear what the anouncers said
about the jets game plan.

you remember, chad was the starting qb again in ny and was
in all of the jets camp and knew the game plan for miami on
opening day.

so, as soon as he is a dolphin, the finz staff asked him how the jets
planned on playing us.

he told them, weeks ago, that the jets had "absolutely no respect"
for the dolphins wr's and plannd to play them up close, man to man
the WHOLE GAME, fully expecting the ricky/ronnie machine to grind
away and STILL beat the finz.

and it is EXACTLY what they did! [except they stomped the
run game also!].

even there off the bench, late round rookie covered our guys one
on one and made plays every time he was called on.

its nice when your front can stop the run and your DB'S can cover
man to man ALL GAME. that gives you safety help over the top on
EVERY play! so what was chad supposd to do?

the finz wr's were covered. soundly. the jets were RIGHT about our
wr's and they stuck to there game plan all day and WON!

so, our division oponents knowing how pathetic our wr's are BEFORE
the season even starts, shouldnt our crack staff have known this?

no draft pics at the wr position and wilford, the slowest and worst
hands of the free agent wr's is signed.

and it gets much worse for us coming up! i was not impressed with the jets
at all other than great scouting on there part and puting together the
right plays and game plan. but they still had to eek it out at the end! they
wont be playing miami every week.

this team refuses to collect play makers in the draft or in f/a.

we need REAL wr's and REAL db's or we are going to be having
lots of 2 and 3 win seasons.

again, this was ALL not having wr's who could get open.

Yeah Wilford atleast gives us a target thats BIG out there i think that can help Ginn lest hope he starts showing something so he can get on the field

They were covered well however there were plays in which windows became open and to me it seemed he looked tentative. I think this is because of a short playbook and some issues with understanding everything.

Remember he is relatively new to the playbook and these things should improve in time.

We didn't get rolling until the 4th quarter.....if Chad had played like this all game we would have won it. We also made way too many mistakes....I feel we lost this game more than the Jet's won it. Ohhh well....put it behind us and prepare for the Cardinals.

no doubt moon!

There is many things IMO that can be worked on this week in practice and be more prepared next. It will take a few more weeks I think for Pennington and the offense to be 100 % comfortable.

seeing it in person the issue is pennington does not scare anyone with his very average arm. also the wind was moving his passes around that is why there were a lot of over and under throws. at this point having him pass more than 10 yard outs is not recommended at least outdoors. ginn and camarillo were open quite abit. also long was getting ***** slapped by all who came thru. anyways next week I believe will be better.

yep. wr's open all over the place.

pennington wouldnt/couldnt throw to them.

i give up. i tried!

all i can say is watch the game on tape, without bias
towards chad and see if all these windows were open!

what did the anouncers say? what have ALL the nfl
tv guys said?

they ALL said....CHAD PLAYED GREAT!! our wr's were AWFUL!!

and they are right.

why are some not geting it? is the chad bias that deep?

Never said Chad did not play well. The question was posed "could not one get open?" my answer was yes they were open. Our QB does not have the arm to make quick strikes past 10 yards.
